Dr. Staton grew up in Fargo, North Dakota. He attended Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut and graduated with a B.S. degree in biology. From there matriculated at the Georgetown University School of Medicine, in Washington, D.C., and graduated with his Doctorate of Medicine. He then studied at the University of Tennessee, in Memphis, pursuing a six year residency program in Otolaryngology, training in pediatric ENT at the St. Jude and LeBonheur children's hospitals, as well as adult ENT at the Baptist and Methodist hospital systems. Dr. Staton has been board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in pediatric and adult ENT, encompassing allergy management, sinus surgery, hearing disorders and ear surgery, thyroid and endocrine surgery, speech and voice problems, snoring and sleep apnea treatment, and facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Staton has been practicing Otolaryngology in the Cypress area for five years and has privileges at local hospitals and outpatient centers.
Dr. Staton has been named one of America's Top Physicians by the The Consumers Research Council of America for 2008.
