The visit went smoothly. The office staff was very friendly! However, I can not seem to get the office to fax my doctor my evaluation. Apparently they are only printed twice a month and then sent to doctors, which being a center for emotional health I don't know how that helps anyone!! Currently I am waiting to receive a call from one of the girls that schedules the appointments since she is waiting on her office coordinator to get back to her. The whole purpose for coming to this appointment was to get medication to help me with studying and improve my grades but this whole process is only causing me anxiety.
Excellent practice. I told them my symptoms and the prescribed me my medication the same day. Thank you so much, now I'm on the way to a happier and better life.

More about Dr. Jonathan Stoudmire, MD

Dr. Jonathan Stoudmire, a general and forensic psychiatrist, is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of mental health. Common conditions treated include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance abuse, ADHD, panic disorder, personality disorders, schizophrenia, eating disorders and relationship problems. Additionally, he has extensive experience as a expert in weight management. We emphasize the importance of a thorough evaluation required for a correct diagnosis and appropriate treatment. He spends a significant amount of time educating his patients about their diagnosis and treatment options. "I have always been amazed by the number of people that take medications everyday for years and have very little knowledge about their diagnosis or treatment options," says Dr. Stoudmire. "Patients respond more favorably when they are involved in their treatment planning." Dr. Stoudmire also specializes in relationship issues and provides therapy to couples in distress. "Unresolved relationship problems are often the source of stress, depression, and anxiety. I work with individuals and couples to deal directly with their issues rather than ignore them, as so many people do," he says. "My goal as a psychiatrist is not only to help patients in need, but also to teach them how to help themselves."
