The dynamic Dr. Joni J. Johnson, M.D., or as more fondly called, “Dr. Joni” is a single mother of three. Dr. Joni totally embraces her zest for life and an overwhelming passion to support the healthcare needs of children, adults and families. As a Brigade Surgeon in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, Dr. Joni experienced the challenges associated with family separation due to employment and has seen first-hand how the casualties of war can impact families and children. Dr Joni offers a sensibility not only to military families affected by the deployment of loved ones overseas but a genuine caring for the well-being of children and families everywhere. Joni’s top focuses are encouraging families to adopt healthy lifestyle practices and empowering children diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism and other disorders that adversely impact learning. Dr Joni has a strong military background that has spanned over 20 years beginning with her graduation from The United States Military Academy at West Point. She has spent most of her medical career advocating for military children and families; both as a military and civilian physician. Dr Joni continues her military service as a Colonel with a local Combat Support Hospital and also as the Pediatric Consultant for the U.S. Army Reserves.

James is seen by Dr. Joni for med management for ADHD and is now a regular for VTAS-we are very satisfied with our care and I refer people to this establishment all the time.

We really like the doctor and the facility. They have helped with a proper diagnosis of our son's disability and provided treatment to help him as he becomes a young adult!
I plan to continue with this practice as long as I can. My son enjoys the people who work here, too.
