The doctor was good and professional. He made sure to explain things, as, and answer questions that needed tending to. The only issue I had noticed that some staff was a bit unprofessional and it was pretty obvious. I will probably come back to this place since it's close to home and my daughter was treated well.

Great from start to finish. The office was clean and professional. Amanda at the front desk was very polite and took us right in and made it feel as if we were coming for years, rather than it just feeling as if it was our first time to the office, which it was. Dr.Meyer's had a very professional and polite way about him. He is just the type of Doctor I was looking for to bring all my children after so many diiferent offices had long wait periods or lacked the bedside manner I believe you need when dealing with children and most of all babies.

Dr. Meyers is a board certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is well known in the community and has a reputation as an experienced, caring and competent Pediatrician. He is a senior attending physician at Maimonides and Methodist Hospitals. He divides his time providing Primary Pediatric care at his offices, and as a clinical instructor to residents and medical students. He has been acknowledged by Maimonides Hospital for his contribution to its educational program and several times has been the co-director of Pediatric Medical Education.
Dr. Meyers was born and raised in Brooklyn and received his Bachelors of Science with majors in Chemistry and Biology from Brooklyn College. He received his Doctor of Medicine from University of Geneva University in Switzerland. Coming back to his roots in Brooklyn, he completed a Fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital, rotating internship at Maimonides Hospital and his residency in Pediatrics at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital. He is in active practice and enjoys mentoring the residents and medical students of Maimonides Hospital.
Always teaching, Dr. Meyers traveled to Laos, an impoverished country with only 11 pediatricians and two and a half million children. During his three week stay, he volunteered as a visiting professor in a post graduate medical program under the auspice of Health Frontiers, an Ohio based non profit involved in healthcare in the United States and overseas. Five days a week, he immersed himself in training medical residents, overseeing them on daily rounds and conducting formal lectures.Dr. Meyers and his wife have three daughters and six grandsons and live on Long Island. When not practicing medicine, he enjoys boating and photography.

Office is still using the old methods of collecting and taking specimens,Awh. The furniture is even dated. The nurse is actually doing everything, he just walk around looking confused.

I used to take my daughter to a pediatrician in Park Slope who I LOVED. We moved to Queens and I decided to find a closer pediatrician. Well, our visit did not end well. First, although my appointment was for immunizations, after waiting over an hour, we were told they were "out of" immunizations. Well since the purpose of the appointment was for immunizations why wasn't I told this before I waited over an hour for immunizations? They gave her blood work and of course I still had to return in two weeks for her results and the immunizations I originally came in for.
Second, the wait time. You'd better bring a book or maybe a pillow for a nap because you're going to be there awhile. If your appointment is for 10:00 am, you will not see or speak to a doctor before 11:15 or so and that's being generous.
My last gripe was I kept being pushed to have my daughter tested for things that I wasn't interested in or already knew about. For example, I know my daughter has allergies but the Dr insisted she should receive a series of allergy tests. He then insisted after establishing she had allergies from the tests he insisted on, that she get an allergy treatment which would require her to get weekly shots for several months. Mind you I only went in for an annual check up and immunizations (that they did not have). I never once asked or inquired about allergies because although she has them, they do not affect her quality of life at all.
There were other examples I could write about, but I think you get the idea. I will not be returning here in the near or far future and will instead make the commute to my old pediatrician.
