Greetings. I have been practicing psychiatry for over 30 years, working with adults with various needs and concerns through careful medication management as well as psychotherapy. I have treated adults between the ages of 18 and 99. Working exclusively in New York City has afforded me the opportunity to serve people across the spectrum of race, ethnicity, sexuality, and gender. I welcome all to my practice.
People come to me with mood disorders, mainly depression and bipolar disorder, as well as anxiety in its various forms-general, social, and work-related anxieties, phobias, obsessions and compulsions, panic, and specific situational anxiety. I also work with individuals dealing with ADHD and ADD. Additionally, I help those struggling with substance misuse who are willing to partner with me in reducing harm and gaining more control over their substance use.
I earned my Doctor of Medicine degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and completed my psychiatry training at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
If you feel ambivalent or stuck with your current mental health treatment-whether medication or psychotherapy-and want a second opinion or consultation, I am your go-to guy. I am willing to collaborate with your providers, make recommendations, or let you know if it seems best to stay the course.
