Originally from Havana, Cuba, Dr. Cabrera earned his medical degree from the Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his general surgery internship at Tulane University, his orthopedic residency at the University of Miami School of Medicine, and his fellowship specialization in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Cabrera is Board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He has also held several appointments as team physician for the United States Olympic and National Soccer teams, the United States Soccer Federation, and the Miami Freedom soccer team.
Dr. Cabrera has seen patients with a myriad of orthopedic dysfunctions including herniated disks, orthopedic trauma, neck problems, hip problems, and sport injuries. He prioritizes his patients’ needs and comfort above all else and treats them with the utmost care and deference.
