I have been looking for a doctor who really cares about patients and takes the time to get to know them. I was really pleasantly surprised at the time and energy that Dr Cavuto put into getting to know me as a new patient. We spent about 35-45 mins talking over everything and made plans for my health moving forward. The office is old looking and they still use paper files, but the service I got makes all of that not matter! Don’t judge a book by its cover, in this case. Really looking forward to future visits with Dr Cavuto.

I tried to book through ZocDoc as a first time patient but never received a confirmation. I didn't pay attention to whether I'd received a confirmation until the morning of the appointment (when I realized I hadn't received any comms ahead of the appointment). I called the office and explained my predicament. They understood the issue and asked if I could come in that day.
Once I got to the office, Anthony was welcoming and engaged even though he was obviously busy with myriad other activities. It took about 15-20 minutes for Dr. Cavuto to see me. When he came in, he asked some basic questions and performed a traditional exam. All the while, he engaged in conversation; he has a phenomenal bedside manner.
One critique: Being a gay man, I'm accustomed to my past doctors asking more about my sexual history. Dr. Cavuto didn't bring it up, and because I had nothing to share, I didn't either.
All in all, it was a great experience.

Very old decor and set up in the office. While that may seem like a drawback, it's not. The doctor and office manager are very down to Earth and are not in the mode of rushing you along. I am satisfied with the level of attention that I get and see that Dr. Cavuto does his best to understand what the needs of his patients are.

Today was my first visit with Dr. Cavuto. He is very nice and most importantly, very knowledgeable and great at what he does. Went to another doctor a month ago and he diagnosed me wrong. Dr Cavuto recognized the issue right away. His medical experience and knowledge is highly recommended. He is my new primary care doctor from now on.

Although the doctor was very nice and explained very well, scheduling took two days to acknowledge my zocdoc appointment and when i went in for the appointment there wasnno front desk person just the doctor with the phone rining off the hook and no one there to answer the calls. Not very discouraging! We had to continue to call for results and there was always a busy signals or "Office is closed" when it wasn't and had to get through to complain about not receiving a call back on test results and was advised I would get a call back with references for a specialist and never did.

Dr. Cavuto takes his time and listens to his patients. It was my initial visit and I haven't been to a primary in years. He didn't make me feel guilty about not seeing a doctor for so long, we just talked about what I should do and a plan of action. If you want a doctor who will listen and treat you respectfully, Dr. Joe is your guy.

Dr. Cavuto is TOP NOTCH! You will not find another Primary Care doctor like him... The reality is health care has become a revolving door and Dr. Cavuto makes you feel like you are his only patient. His advice is practical, responsible, and sensible. He truly cares for his patients and invested time to ensure you understand your visit by clearly explaining or clarify medical terminology that can often feel intimidating. Our family is lucky to have found Dr. Cavuto!

I have only had two appointments- he's a great doctor, and a great guy- he clearly cares for his patients' well being. However, I can't get through on the office phone or online to set an appointment anymore- I'm wondering if I have to find a new doctor to go to, as it's cold/flu season plus I have dental stuff that I need a referral for!

Dr. Cavuto is so caring and always takes the time to answer any questions and concerns. Although I moved, I would not change doctors. It is worth the extra travel time to see Dr. Cavuto.

I was disappointed for 2 reasons -
1) The wait time (1hr 35minutes). I was left in a back room for half an hour in the cold with nothing but a 1990s Black and Decker space heater to make me comfortable. When I was finally acknowledge no one apologized for forgetting me in the back room.
2) At the time of diagnosis very little time was spent with me (3-5minutes) about my chief complaint. I was simply prescribed an antibiotic and sent to see a specialist the following week. Long wait times should correlate with a very thorough examination and more time spent making me understand what could possibly be wrong.

I had an excellent first visit.. He is now my primary care doctor. Dr. Cavuto is very intelligent, well-informed, and considerate. He made a number of suggestions for my improvement, but never in a pushy way. He complimented me on a number of good things I do, like exercise, and posed a number of things to consider. The office is by no means fancy and the furniture may be old. Even so, Dr. Cavuto is knowledgeable, personable, and thorough. The receptionist area is filled with files, but she still had the time to be friendly and treat me as a person. If you are looking for fancy, brand new facilities, this is not the place. If you are looking for a good doctor, even when you are traveling and need help, go there! His office is just half a block north from the Taker Morris Orange Line subway station.

The wait time was almost long enough for me to leave. However, it was my first visit and everyone assured me that Dr. Cavuto was thorough, skilled, and caring. I couldn't agree more and I was glad that I waited.
