Dr. Joseph Ferguson is outstanding!!! Very attentive and excellent at laying out scenarios for treatment and a clear plan of action, then follow up. So glad to have met with him!
For anyone looking to set up an appointment with him however, I would NOT go through ZocDocs. Dr
Ferguson's office did not have me on the schedule 4 days before. The doctor's office has to look for my appointment in a different system.

Dr. Ferguson provided and awful experience. He had no bedside manner. He walked in and spoke to me for 2 minutes telling me I should just get another injection. He didn’t even review my X-ray with me, or ask me where the pain was or why I was there. He assumed I was there for the same pain I had a year ago. He hurried me along and didn’t ask any questions. He even said you could do an MRI but why do that when we can just give you an injection. Yet, I had no idea what was causing the pain and he showed no interest in my well being or take anytime to listen to me or ask questions. I’ve been to many ortho specialists and I’ve never felt so dismissed by any other doctor than Dr. Ferguson. He acted like it was a burden to sit with me. I will never ever see him again and MedStar should reconsider if he is qualified to speak with patients who are in the need of actual care and support for their condition.

Very professional, but was not rushed. Dr Ferguson explained what he was looking at regarding my MRI. He showed me on the computer exactly what I was looking at. Various approaches to the situation were presented to me. All in all, well pleased with this visit.

Dr Ferguson was personable and explained what was going on and clearly answered my questions. It was my first time seeing him and frankly seeing at doctor in the MedStar network. He instilled in me confidence in him from the very start , and never faltered .[It's been more than a year.] He searched for, and found, simple, nonsurgical/noninvasive solutions to my sciatic pain and discomfort that would work for me, without regard for his bottom line. Dr. Fergoson was excellent. Thorough review of my diagnosis with realistic options and outcomes. The office experience was confused and confusing. I filled out all pre-appointment paperwork on line, but was required to fill out detailed, redundant forms when I arrived. No one really greeted me upon arrival. Sat around for quite a while not really knowing what was happening.
