Joseph Lopez is a caring and compassionate family physician and primary care doctor serving the community of San Antonio, TX. He attended Texas A&M University, where he received his medical degree, and completed his residency at McLennan County Medical Education and Research Foundation. He further continued his studies and completed a fellowship at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Faculty Development Center. He also holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas–Pan American.
Dr. Lopez is a part of MedFirst Northeast Primary Care Clinic. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Made my appointment on Monday for the office visit on Thursday. Let them know exactly why I need the appointment. They waited until I was there to tell me they can only help with a single issue, that I would need to make a separate appointment for any other issues. Very unprofessional, wasted my time, and now I need to find someone that can actually assist me.

He gave me my diagnoses and handed me some pills. Gave me no further information to be successful in my treatment plan. Took me three days to get a monitor only to find out that they had them in the office to give out. If it wasn't for the compassion of the office staff, not the nurse, I prolly still wouldn't have one. I changed doctors immediately!!!

The office staff was professional and friendly. I was late and filled out my paperwork, that’s the only reason it took longer to see me. Other folks went in to visit doc shortly after they signed in. Dr. Lopez was professional, knowledgeable and interested in my wellness and health. I felt heard and understood and loved that he took his time with me. I love that his office can see you the same day if you are sick and can’t wait. Thank you God for helping me find Dr. Lopez!
