He then completed both his internship and residency in internal medicine at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He continued his training by completing a fellowship in cardiology and interventional cardiology at the Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Sweeny is a part of the Lauder Family Cardiovascular Center. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. His medical experience is vast and impressive. His areas of special interest include acute coronary syndrome, atherosclerosis, coronary angioplasty, heart attack, and pericardiocentesis. In addition to serving his patients, Dr. Sweeny is the director of the Lauder Family Cardiovascular Ambulatory Center of Mount Sinai Heart at the Mount Sinai Hospital.
