We are pleased to welcome Dr. Joshua Tessier to our new Family Medicine practice in Wakefield. Dr. Tessier is board certified in family medicine, osteopathic medicine and addiction medicine. He joins us from UMass Memorial Health Care in Fitchburg, where he served as the Associate Program Director for Fitchburg Family Medicine Residency.
Dr. Tessier received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University and completed his family medicine residency at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. He has held adjunct clinical faculty positions at University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, Des Moines University, and University of Massachusetts Medical School, Worcester. He has clinical experience in emergency medicine and chemical dependency and has published and presented several papers on the use of technology in medicine, including medical mobile apps.
Dr. Tessier provides care, including osteopathic manipulative treatments, for patients of all ages from infants to adults. He is accepting new patients at the MelroseWakefield Medical Building in Wakefield, offering online appointment scheduling and evening appointments.
