Throughout my career, I have grown up in nursing. I started out as a nursing assistant, and took each jump on the ladder from licensed practical nurse, RN-ADN, RN-BSN,MSN- FNP-BC and finally after the age of 50, I completed my doctorate in nursing practices. One of the things that I’m most proud of is the fact that my patients feel like I really listen to them. And that seems to be something that’s missing today in a lot of the medical care. I want each individual to feel like they’re being heard and feel like they are an active participant in their own care.
