She is board certified in both dermatology and dermatopathology, and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Texas Dermatological Society, Harris County Medical Society, and Houston Dermatological Society. She has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and regularly participates in conferences and other activities to continue her medical education.
Dr. Kauffman graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, San Diego with undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and Spanish Literature. As a medical student at Washington University in St. Louis, she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed a preliminary year internship in internal medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston; dermatology residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center; and fellowship in dermatopathology at The University of Texas Health Science

After seeing almost eight doctors two which were specialist and no one could seem to help. She listened looked and then evaluated me. Then she said if I was not better in 48 hours to come right back to see her and she would help me or find someone who could! Since I am also self pay she didn't break me either. She is a spectacular doctor and really makes you feel taken care of. That there is hope and she will do everything she can to make sure you are healthy again!

This doctor made my appointment seamless. I was having a biopsy done to determine the source of recent hair loss.
She didnt rush me, answered all my questions and put up with me being a big baby about the procedure.

Very efficient- I was seen right on time (hardly had time to finish my short paperwork in the waiting room!), and we addressed a number of things in a very short period of time. Dr. Kauffman is thorough, communicates effectively, and works quickly. She is also very nice and has a great bedside manner. I have already booked an appointment for my husband.

She never even asked about the area I live in where I live or what I do or where I have been recently that would give her an idea as to what my skin lesions could have come from or what they were she said I should see a therapist to deal with the stress of lesions which makes no sense she did not even try to figure out what I had I left in tears

She was quick, efficient, and friendly. She basically said I would probably need to start accutane but after I expressed I would prefer to try less harmful options first she ordered other things for me to try. Its been two-three weeks since my visit and my face is clearing up thanks to her prescriptions. Will post and update with my 2 month check-up.
