I was referred to Dr. Sanchez by my primary Dr. with a nasty neck pain that wouldn't go away. After an MRI and a comprehensive evaluation, she quickly identified the problem and recommended a series of epidural injections. A few weeks later and I'm feeling sooo much better. Thanks Dr. Sanchez, you are the best!!!
I have been seeing Dr. Sanchez for about a year now and each time I have a visit it's great. Being that we live in Miami it is very difficult to find a Dr who really cares about her patients. Not only does she take her time to talk about how you are doing. She explains everything to you in a very clear manner that a person can understand. Her professionalism is second-to-none.

More about Dr. Julia Sanchez, MD

Dr. Sanchez was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. She attended Luis Razetti School of Medicine at Universidad Central de Venezuela, the most prestigious medical school in Venezuela. After graduation in 2004, she moved to the United States to further her education. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine in Yale University Program at Bridgeport Hospital, CT and was bestowed the Medicine Consultant Resident of the year award for 2009. She developed an interest in Pain Medicine during her residency and decided to follow this interest as her subspecialty study so after graduating from residency, she went on to do a Fellowship in Pain Medicine in New York City at one of the best Cancer Hospitals in our country: Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. After finishing her fellowship in 2010, she joined a private practice. Dr. Sanchez is Board Certified both in Pain Medicine and in Internal Medicine. She holds licenses in the states of Florida and New York. In 2012 she decided it was time to open her own practice. Miami being home was the ideal location so Miami Interventional Spine Specialists was created and the new state of the art facility where it resides was put together. Dr. Sanchez’s main interests are management of cancer related pain and applying emerging technologies to treat non-malignant pain. She has attended multiple courses and workshops from different institutions since graduation from fellowship to keep up to date and learn new techniques. Currently she is working on new applications for ultrasound guided interventional procedures for treatment of pain and her acupuncture skills.
