Dr. Tran joins us from Rowland Heights, California, a suburban area in Los Angeles County. Since the age of six, she visited Seattle almost every other summer and now she has made the Northwest as her new home. Dr. Tran graduated from California State University, Fullerton with degrees in Biology and Chemistry. She attended Southern California College of Optometry and completed her externships at Naval Health Clinic Makalapa at Pearl Harbor, Hawai'i, Veteran Affairs Medical Center at Salt Lake City, Utah, and Bel-Red Vision Clinic at Bellevue, Washington.
In her spare time, Dr. Tran likes shopping, playing tennis, hiking, and traveling. When she has a spare moment, she tries honing her culinary skills.

This was my first time seeing Dr. Tran and it was a very good experience. She was friendly, thorough and quick, while still welcoming my questions. I've been seeing eye doctors for years and this is the first time someone has actually explained how the eye works and exactly what's going on. Also the office is very welcoming. The front desk guru (I wish I remembered her name!) knew all about my insurance and made ordering contacts seamless. And SJ, who did all of the pre testing before seeing the doctor, was great - funny, thorough and just a real professional. This is absolutely my new eye doc. :)

I have been in the office now numerous times...and not due to any problem with Dr Tran. Quite the contrary! This is due to the fact that Dr Tran is patiently and professionally working with me to get the kind of eyesight I need and haven't had for a long, long time. I have been to numerous eye doctors throughout Seattle over the past several years. She is by far and away, amazing, fun, professional and tenacious...just what I needed, at last!!!

This place is awesome! I have been going to the same place in West Seattle for 20 years. I just happened upon this when looking for a new doctor. Dr. Tran was great and their equipment is fantastic! I'm diabetic and need a medical exam annually. With their technology, it was really the first time in 33 years of being type 1 Diabetic that I understood what diabetic retinopathy looks like and what stage my own retina is at. Oh, and the have a machine that allows you to not have to have your eyes dilated! HIGHLY recommend this office. Their product selection is also fab.

Dr. Julia Tran made my son and myself feel very comfortable! She took her time explaining things and answered all my questions. This was my son's first eye appointment and he loved it. The staff was also very warm and extremely helpful. They helped us pick out great glasses and answered all of our questions. They also replaced my nose pads on my old glasses for free, they offered which was great! We will be back for sure!
