Julie has learned to trust the natural progression of labor and birth during a midwifery fellowship at Holy Family Birth Center in the Texas-Mexico border region and while volunteering as a midwife with Partners In Health in the rural African mountains of Lesotho.
Originally from New Hampshire, Julie moved to Salt Lake City in 2006 for bigger mountains, better snow and a position as a Nurse Practitioner at Planned Parenthood. This fast-paced clinic offered a wealth of experience in women’s health, building on Julie’s prior position as a Registered Nurse with the reproductive endocrinology and infertility team at the University of Vermont.
Julie has a Master of Science in Nursing specializing in Family Practice from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions and a Post Master’s Certificate in Nurse Midwifery from the University of Utah. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife.
Educated as a family practice nurse practitioner, Julie can provide primary care services as well as women’s health and midwifery care. She practices a personal preventative approach with a focus on wellness to her clients and their families.
When she is not in the office, Julie can be found on the ski patrol at Park City Mountain Resort. In addition to skiing, she enjoys biking, hiking and globetrotting.

Everyone in the office was very helpful and friendly, especially Julie. She made me feel very comfortable during my entire appointment. She spent extra time with me to make sure all of my questions were answered. She definitely takes pride in what she does, you can tell!

Great! Everyone was friendly, professional & made me feel comfortable. They arranged it so I was able to get my labs drawn @ a more convenient location for me. Julie spent time to explain things to me & to answer all my questions. Excited to continue my care here!
