Justin graduated from the prestigious culinary program of Johnson and Wales University in 2001 with his undergrad in Culinary Arts. His career took him through numerous 5 star restaurants and hotels around the United States and into Asia.
Eventually settling down in China, Justin and his wife, Stella, opened and operated 4 successful full-service restaurants.
The time spent in China gave Justin a deep appreciation and understanding of Chinese culture. He spent most of his free time learning and practicing martial arts, specifically Chen style Taijiquan (Tai Chi). Acupuncture and Chinese medicine became of strong interest during this time. Having suffered a severe lower back sprain that was treated with only one acupuncture treatment, this became a pivotal moment in Justin’s curiosity and desire to learn more about acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
After relocating to Los Angeles in 2016, Justin enrolled full time at Alhambra Medical University and graduated with a Masters in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. In 2020 Studio 36 Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine opened in the midst of a global pandemic. The summer of 2021, Justin successfully completed his work for his Doctorate degree and was awarded the title of Doctor of Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine. Justin works to customize individual treatment plans together with dietary and lifestyle advice to meet the specific needs of each one of his patients.
