Dr. Justin Wasserman is a Board Certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist with special interests that span both surgical and general dermatology. Dr. Wasserman graduated cum laude from Yale University with a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. He received his Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Florida where he graduated first in his class. He was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in his junior year as well as receiving numerous academic achievement awards. Dr. Wasserman completed his internship in internal medicine at Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, followed by residency training in dermatology at the University of Chicago where he was Chief Resident. Following residency, Dr. Wasserman completed a much sought after dermatopathology fellowship at the renowned University of Chicago.
Dr. Wasserman has particular interest and expertise in skin pathology and dermatologic surgery. He has published multiple articles in pathology and general dermatology in peer-reviewed medical journals, and he has written a book chapter on infectious disease. He is a staff member at Venice Regional Bayfront Health. His professional affiliations include the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons and the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Wasserman was raised locally in Venice, FL and is a running/triathlon enthusiast. He is fluent in Spanish. In his spare time he enjoys participating and attending sporting events such as golf, tennis, and football. He enjoys playing guitar, the cinema, and making and enjoying art.

I was a day early on my appointment.. I was pleasently surprised when the receptionist said she would work me in, I was seen right away! My husband came home raving about Dr. Wasserman after his first visit at his office. He shared that Dr. Wasserman was professional, knowlegable, thorough, informative, answered all questions thoroughly and had a great bedside manner. I'm tempted to make an appointment myself even though there is no need att his time.
