Kaitlin Hammond, RD, CD has more than 7 years of experience in the management medical nutrition therapy. Formerly the dietitian for the largest food bank in Texas, she has remained passionate about hunger relief. Seeking, more intense, individual work, she became the outpatient dietitian for a local hospital, providing support for those with a variety of nutrition related diseases, including diabetes, eating disorders, weight management, polycystic ovarian syndrome, malnutrition, high cholesterol, and hypertension.
Hammond believes health can be achieved in any situation, and encourages her patients to celebrate and reward each success along the way, while remaining compassionate to times of struggle. She recognizes that health is a dynamic involving mind, body, and spirit, and aims to assist patients in developing a true sense of self where food is only one method of nourishment. She focuses on empowering patients to follow their own path to healing, guiding and supporting them along that path.
Hammond returned to the Pacific Northwest in 2010, after living in Dallas, Texas for 7 years. She is glad to be living among the mountains, saltwater and changing seasons. She looks forward to appreciating beautiful sunsets, while enjoying her dear friends and family. In her spare time, she enjoys creating new recipes, repurposing old clothes, and scouring Seattle’s second-hand shops for hidden treasures. She loves cheering-on her Rat City Roller Girls, dancing in her kitchen, and spoiling her nieces and nephews.
