Karen Clarke-Bennett is a diligent and engaging family physician based in Odenton, MD. Dr. Clarke-Bennett is an alumnus of UMDNJ, where she earned her osteopathic medicine degree.
She completed her residency in family medicine at the Georgetown University Providence Hospital in Washington, DC and also holds a graduate degree in public health from George Washington University.
In addition to diagnosing and treating illness, Dr. Clarke-Bennett offers a range of acute, chronic, and preventative medical care services. Her approach to medicine is driven by the belief that every patient is an individual and must be treated as such. Consequently, she adapts her consultations and treatment options appropriately to accommodate the individual needs and concerns of her patients.

My visit to A Better You with Dr Clarke-Bennett was perfect. I was seen right away, the staff was friendly, and the office is extremely relaxing and inviting. Dr. Clarke-Bennett was very attentive to my concerns and explained things very clearly. She took the time to address all my questions and even encouraged more. Her bedside manner is excellent and I am very happy with my decision to make A Better You and Dr. Clarke-Bennett a part of my health care regimen.

Dr. Clarke-Bennett is an excellent physician. However, it's important to be mindful that she does not run a traditional office. A Better You is a medical spa. Primary and urgent care patients don't appear to be a priority (the wait time was noticeably longer for primary care patients during my last appointment). There's more of an emphasis on selling products; cosmetic treatments and procedures; and other services that are unlikely to be covered by insurance.

Well I thought when you ask for a yearly check up they check the whole body. My concern was that she didn't do my Gyn check up, or let me know about my blood test results. I couldn't make my appointment so I thought she still would give my results. That wasn't professional.

I liked it OK, I preferred her assistant. She was very personable and warming.I didn't really like the way the Dr looked at me. She just didn't seem really concerned. She asked me why I chose her office, and not in a very welcoming manner. It was more like she didn't really want me there. No thank you, glass you chose us, nothing!! Not sure that I will go back. With the way that I feel I need someone that appears to be concerned. It was just an OK visit.

I'm one of those people that really hates going to the doctor. My blood pressure spikes, I sweat; not a pretty picture. Dr. Clarke-Bennett quickly changed that.
Without a doubt, she exhibited the best bedside manner of any physician that I have ever encountered. The aesthetics of her office, her demeanor; everything is tailored to set you at ease. She was able to advise me on a number of secondary and tertiary issues related to my visit, in a calm, professional, affable manner.
I would absolutely recommend that anyone looking for a new primary care physician consider making an appointment with her office.

My first visit to Dr. Clarke - Bennett ' s office was by far one of the best visits I ever had. We spoke for more than a half hour. She actually cared about getting to know me to better assess my needs. She took me on a tour of the beautiful facility. She called me a few days later (on a Saturday afternoon) to see how the new medication was effecting me and to check on my progress. Since my visit to Dr. Clarke-Bennett's office I have taken her concerns with my blood pressure very seriously and have since undergone a lifestyle change. In 8 days I lost 6 pounds and my blood pressure has went down some. Although I am not an overweight person, the shedding of the pounds has had a noticeable effect. I feel soooo much better!
I don't normally write reviews but I had to in this case. I highly recommend this Doctor!!!!

I was amazed by the office it's well put together and comforting . If you are nervous about a doctors appointment the atmosphere of the place will put you at ease . The staff members were very polite and friendly . They greet you with welcoming smiles . Dr. Karen Clarke-Bennett was so knowledgeable and helpful . I did not feel rushed or anything unlike most doctors visits . I can see myself returning for future care . I took a 40 minute drive and it was well worth it .

I was immediately greeted from the staff and within 10 minutes I was in a waiting room. The atmosphere gives a warm and calming effect, unlike any dr.s office I've been to. Dr. Karen Clarke-Bennett did not make you feel rushed, and seemed very genuine!

Dr. Clarke-Bennett and Tricia are awesome! I love relaxed atmosphere when entering her office and not feeling the usual stress of being in a traditional assembly line doctors office . I was impressed at how she was very patient and took her time with listening to my concerns. She respects and understand my thoughts about prescribed medications. There were extra test that I was surprised and glad that she did, such as levels of vitamin D and B. A Better You also offers other medical and spa treatments that I will be trying. I've had a hard time keeping up with my primary Dr as she keeps moving to different locations, Dr. Clarke-Bennett will be my primary Doc now!

Dr. Clarke Bennett was very knowledgeable and attentive! She spends a lot of time listening and catering to my needs. Unlike other doctors, I felt like she really cares. I did not had to wait nor did I felt rushed. I would recommend her to everyone!
