Fast, efficient, and knowledgable. Highly recommended!
Long wait time, but she is awesome. Stern yet friendly, and really knows what she's talking about. She made me very comfortable right away.
When I met her the first time, I knew she is the one I can trust. I have been seeing her for years. She is very professional. She is excellent and she always ask me the important questions. It's hard for me to find a great doctor as her after she moves to different state. Good luck for your new adventure!
Dr Galichon was very knowledgable and did not rush me through my appointment. I will return for future visits.
Dr. Galichon is cordial and easy to discuss health issues with. However, like typical doctor's office experience the wait time to see the doctor was over 30mins and she spent probably 10mins with me. The office is clean and the waiting area is large, they also have a computer people can use while waiting, which is a perk. I would recommend her but keep in mind the wait times.
This was my last visit with Dr. Galichon because she is leaving next month. She has been my doctor for almost ten years, and I will miss her. I appreciated her professionalism, understanding, compassion, and directness, even when I didn't always follow orders :). Best of luck to her in her new adventures!
Dr. Galichon is an excellent doctor -highly recommended
Came early and had to wait 30-40 minutes to be seen, another 20 minutes to see the doctor after getting my weight and height, and then another 20 minutes after seeing the doctor to see another nurse that administered shots, and then had to wait 10 minutes in line to pay. The doctor/nurses were great, but this took way longer than i expected for such a simple checkup
She's great. Wish her well in Virginia for me. Thanks, Alexander
My husband and I love Dr. Galichon! Not only is she a genuinely nice lady, but she takes time to explain things and answer your questions thoroughly.
sorry she's leaving in Feb.
Great Doctor. Very nice and kind.
A bit rushed, but always very helpful and professional.
Only Doctor I will see
Highly recommend Karen!
This was a routine visit to check the symptoms of my "common cold" to be sure it wasn't more serious. I was satisfied with the results of the examination.
Karen was great, both personal and efficient. The nurse was great as well.
I have been going to Dr. Galichon since 2001 and that along should speak for itself. She is an excellent Primary Care and is very friendly and proactive with my treatment which I really appreciate. She is very easy to talk with and get your questions answered and explains everything thoroughly.
Dr. Galichon has been my doctor for 12 years. She has always been pleasant, professional and thorough.
I sometimes have to wait longer than I would like to see her. However, once you're in the room with her, you have her undivided attention. She's great, I love her! I highly recommend her.
As always Doctor Galichon was friendly and efficient as were her staff.
The wait to see Dr. Galichon was irritating (particularly as I asked when I checked in whether the doctor was running late and was told that she was on time...), but once I was able to see her she provided professional and responsive service. This is the second time I have seen her and I would definitely recommend her to others.
Longest wait I've ever had! Arrived at 2:20 for a 2:30 appointment, didn't get seen until 4, and waited for a nurse after I saw the doctor to take my blood. All in all, I didn't leave until about 5:30, which is unacceptable for a 2:30 scheduled appointment time (for a routine physical).
She seemed in a hurry and also sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy which after two days has still not been corrected... such a pain!
I love everything about Karen Golichon and her office! The place is clean, friendly, and efficient. The whole staff smiles a lot and really seems to care about your experience and your health. Dr. Galichon is very patient and thoughtful. She helped me diagnose a problem with a prescription I was on and really saw the whole thing through to the end. I highly recommend Dr. Galichon and this whole office. I think they are great.
She is amazing!
I was pleased that Dr. Galichon took the time to listen to what I had to say, and as always I am happy that she keeps such careful records.
Very kind and gentle with her answers to my questions.
I was happy with the care I received. The wait time was long but I am hoping next time when I am not a first time patient it will go more quickly. The support staff at the front desk seemed stressed and overwhelmed. This is an area that may need some attention.
Everyone who works at BIMG on 23rd Street & 8th Avenue couldn't be any nicer. From the security guard downstairs, to the front desk staff, to the nurse who checks vitals before Dr. Galichon comes in, to Dr. Galichon herself. I was so impressed the first time I came to see her (about 4 years ago). She took the time to speak with me, get my history (medical and personal - because sometimes what's going on in your personal life affects you medically). She is kind, friendly, efficient and very professional. I highly recommend her and her entire staff. I look forward to my physicals (not many people can say that!) :)
Dr. Galichon is great, friendly and very processional but the office seems very busy. I sat in the exam room for 45 minutes waiting for my blood to be drawn and to be given a flu shot. That seemed strange.
My annual check-up with Karen was smooth and efficient and everyone in the office was friendly and helpful, for the most part.
2nd time visiting. Went very well.
You might have to take a day off to see this doc. i know this is a super long review but i hope you take the time to read it. As a new patient, I got there a bit early. I assumed I'd have some paperwork to complete. When I got there, the incompetent woman at the front desk was dictating to all those entering to sign in and write 'appt' if you had a scheduled appointment. As I suspected, she gave me a clipboard of documents to complete. I filled them out accordingly and gave them back to her with my ID and insurance card. Rather than making a quick copy of my cards and returning them to me quickly, she shooed me away from the front because of confidentiality reason. As soon as I sat down, she called me back. Ridiculous. After 30-45 minutes of waiting past my appointment time, the front desk woman calls me again to tell me that the doctor I was there to see WAS NOT IN THAT DAY. I'm sorry, what?! She doesn't accept responsibility. She doesn't apologize for the inconvenience. I ask her how could this be when I confirmed by appointment the day before. She pulls out a list and says, we called all her appointments to cancel, you are not on the list for some reason, and asks if I made the appointment online. I did. She says, oh, well that's why. Excuse me, why does that matter???? So she say, well there's nothing I can do, the doc is not here today, she'll be in tomorrow. Great! Can I reschedule? Get this... she then says, she's in tomorrow but she's not available. That info is absolutely useless. The front desk woman is INCOMPETENT. Against my better judgement, I reschedule. I finally return for my 2nd 1st appointment. Different person at the front desk - happy to say, no problems with her. Maybe 10 minutes past my appointment time, the nurse calls me in. She takes my vitals and tells me that the doc will be a few minutes. 40 MIN GO BY! I'm very angry at this point. I'm in the gown, I pop my head out in the hallway and call over to the nurse at the nurse's station, 'excuse me but should i just reschedule? it's going on an hour.' i realize this isn't a restaurant and my food's taking a lot longer than usual but seriously?! a freaking hour?! just let me know what's going on. that the doc hasn't forgotten about me. or if i have to let my boss know what's up. or if i'm going to have to miss a meeting. it would a kindness if the doc and nurses were a bit more respectful of their patient's time. on the doc, she was apologetic and we got past the ridiculous amount of time i had to wait. i don't have any negative critiques on the doc. the person that took my blood was great and so was the other nurse that gave me my vaccinations.
SHE IS MY PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN AND I LOVE HER!
Dr. Galichon is very thorough in covering medical situations and possible solutions. Also, an A+ personality. I am very confident in her care.
I thought she was nice and professional. She seemed like she was genuinely concerned about my health. I actually wanted a blood test, but she did not look at my chart to see that I had checked that off. I guess I should have mentioned it. She did seem a bit rushed.
I always love seeing DR Galichon. She's always kind, knowledgeable, professional and prompt! Thank you!
I felt that I was listened to and also appreciated her recommendations for attending to my initial problem. I have been looking for a internal medicine family physician and feel very comfortable keeping her number on file when I need medical attention.
It was pleasant and informative.
This was my first visit with Dr. Galichon. She was so friendly and put me at ease. She was very clear and thorough about what shots I needed to catch up on and how to take the medication prescribed to me. She made sure to ask me if Ibhad any questions for her before leaving. I plan on having her as my primary care doctor now that I live in New York and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a new doctor.
not very impressed. You wait to be called, and then you wait in the exam room for the doctor, then you wait some more for the techs to come and do your procedures. The PA who gave me an injection told me to get dressed and wait for the doctor to come back to talk to me about my EKG. I waited almost 45 minutes before I finally left the exam room and found a nurse who told me I was done. Then you check out and wait some more; only one assistant doing check out and a lot of people waiting who just wanted to leave! Dr. Galichon is nice, but I didn't feel like she addressed my concerns. In between long waits, I felt rushed by every person who dealt with me.
Very pleased; Dr. Galichon was very professional and personable. She took additional time to help me with a prescription issue after my appointment had finished. I will definetly return.
Dr. Galichon was excellent. I was very happy with my visit.
Lovely Doctor but the wait time is always long.
The doctor and the staff were extremely nice but it took 2 hours for an appointment that should have been 10 minutes.
Dr. Galichon was great. My whole experience was great. Tina (medical assistant) was awesome. Someone else drew my blood. She was also great. However, the check out person seemed annoyed that it was late & had to make 3 separate appointments. She was rude. I informed her I also work for a doctor's office & am well aware how appointments work. She seemed bothered that I was asking for the latest appointment. She was not friendly. Rest of staff was great. I believe they need a new check out person. She was the same person that checked out my daughter who was seen as a walk in months ago. Same attitude then. If you are unhappy in your position then maybe you should get a new job.
She was great, I felt like crap, and she resolved the issue right away (well, after 7 days of antibiotics). Very convenient. Thanks!
Dr. Galichon was very approachable and considerate. The nurse and assistant who I saw were also professional and efficient. Some of the administrative staff were a bit brusque, but overall a pleasant experience.
I will definitely be coming back to Dr. Galichon. She was incredibly helpful and kind. Her support staff was wonderful as well.
Excellent doctor. Knowledgable and friendly. I felt very comfortable with her and would recommend her to anyone.
The office was really clean, staff was professional and helpful and Karen was thorough and I felt really comfortable with her. One of the best doctor experiences I've had in the city.
She really does her best to make uncomfortable situations better. Glad I decided to stick with her!
Yet again I have to give the whole team here five stars, for friendliness and great service. Dr Galichon herself remains the best doctor I have had in any of the countries I have lived in, friendly, thoughtful, respectful and thorough. I have no hesitation in recommending her.
Very friendly, proficient, good bedside manner and explained things well. Also, pleasingly non-hysterical. A very good, pragmatic doctor, highly recommended.
Karen is a great family doctor.
Doctor Galichon is a very personable and professional doctor who pays strick attention to detai Greay vibel group[
Always pleasant and professional.
Lovely doctor- the only problem I had was with the wait time. I read the reviews before I went and therefore expected to wait but it was really excessive
I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes to see her - It was my first time there and I'm not sure i would go back - the help is very slow -I was not the only one waiting over an hour. They need to get their situation moving better.
Dr. Galichon is a very caring doctor, I never feel rushed with her and I trust her.
As always, perfect, from the reception and prework by the team here to Dr Galichon herself who is wonderfully thorough, communicates clearly and is very friendly. Best primary care team I have had anywhere I have lived in the world
Extremely thorough and competent doctor with a very kind and reassuring manner. My husband thinks she's great and has recommended her to his friend who also gives her very high marks. The new office is a great improvement too!
She's the best!
As always very professional and thorough. All her staff are helpful and pleasant.
Dr. Galichon was lovely and addressed my concerns thoughtfully and thoroughly. I would go see her again. My only reservation was the long wait -- it took over 45 mins to be seen despite having an appointment. The doctor did comment however that a lot of the staff had called in sick.
Dr Galichon is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable. I will definitely see her again. I only wish the wait time wasn't as long.
I rarely leave feedback on these types of sites but this visit was awful. She barely even checked me. When she was done, I had no idea. I had to ask. She didn't really give me any recommendations either. The worst part was that when I was leaving the receptionist was INCREDIBLY rude. She was huffing and puffing and kept giving me attitude. It's bad enough to have to go to the doctor, it's worse when someone is mean to you when you're already feeling bad. Do not go here.
It went really well. I got there early and they were able to see me before my scheduled appointment time. Everyone at the office was friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Galichon and this whole office to anyone who asks.
She and her assistant was both great
Dr. Galichon and her medical staff are amazing. I've been very happy with my visits. However, the receptionists have been unprofessional and rude. I received a message to call back for test results and now I can't get through to anyone when I call.
Great as always
Thought she was great. Some of the other staff, not so great.
I very much like Karen as a Dr, but I tend to have to wait a significant amount of time past my appointment time before I am seen. Account for this when booking your appointment, especially if you plan to come on your lunch break.
Dr. Galichon was very good about listening to my concerns about financial considerations involved in healthcare.
I high recommend Karen. She takes her time and is always pleasant.
Dr. Galichon was informative, straightforward, and honest during my physical. The main annoyance was the wait time, which due to a paperwork error was ~60 minutes up front and then ~60 minutes in the room waiting for her and her assistants. left at 12:45 for a 10:15 appointment, was attended to by professionals for about 30 minutes. Haven't been to the Dr. for awhile, so maybe this is status quo.
An excellent office visit to an always terrific doctor
The doctor herself was great. She did the proper balance of listening to my concerns, asking questions, and offering advice, despite the EMR's structure. My gripe is with the office staff. They mixed up my appointment, argued with me instead of trying to resolve it, and made me wait an hour. Currently I am waiting in the exam room for a nurse, and, judging by the fact that it has been 20 minutes since the doctor left, I can only assume that hey have forgotten about me. It's a shame, I really liked her bedside manner.
I am always pleased with my visits with KG.
She is a wonderful doc, and she listens and cares.
It was a good first experience at Beth Israel. Everyone was friendly and I got seen right away. Although once inside waiting for the nurse and assistants took just a little longer, but really not something to brag about. Overall it was a good experience and I'm going back.
This was my first visit to beth israel medical... I came for a heart checkup, cholesterol check etc... Dr Galichon listened to my concerns about everything and was very helpful. I had some needed tests done with very fast results and a friendly call from the doctor. The wait time was brutal however. I didnt see the doctor for a full hour, and by the time my blood sample was finished i had been at the office almost 2-1/2 hours. ugh. Everyone was very professional however. I feel like I'm on a better course of heart health. Follow ups planned.
As previously, Dr Galichin was excellent. Friendly, caring and not rushed. Asked searching questions. listened well and gave clear explanations. Best doctor I have ever had. Again, all clinic staff were friendly and courteous.
Highly recommended for quality of care and interpersonal rapport.
great doctor. good at listening
I've waited for over two hours to see a doctor in this BIMC office before, so I was pleasantly surprised to be seen relatively close to my appointment time.
Dr. Galichon is very attentive and very friendly, but also speedy. Additionally, the nurses at this location are lovely and very personable.
One of the best doctors I have had in NYC. She's a great listener and really cares. Highly reccommend.
Always excellent - I wouldn't go to anyone else
Dr. Galichon was very professional and thorough. She had a very pleasant manner and provided a summary of the visit. The summary will be helpful for me to refer to follow the patient instructions. I will definitely schedule future appointments with Dr. Galichon.
I was impressed with the office, I would like to continue to see Dr. Galichon.
Dr. Galichon is great: knowledgeable, attentive, and efficient. I also liked the office very much. The front desk folks were fine, and during the checkout process, I got a summary of the appointment. Very professional.
Great doctor but the wait one is awful
The front office staff messed up -- after waiting half an hour (I had arrived promptly at 9:00 for a 9:00 appointment) I complained, and they said they would make sure the people in back knew I was there. After another fifteen minutes I complained again, and ten minutes later the PA came out to call me in. She said that as far as the record showed I had only been there for ten minutes. This is unacceptable, and it's not the first time something like this has happened..
She was nice, listened to what I had to say and made me feel very comfortable.
The staff at the office are less than friendly, I showed up early and still had to wait 25 min. Also the whole checkout process is a little dragged out. It feels more like a hospital than a personable primary care office.
I've been going to Dr. Galichon for years. Do not live in area, but traveled to see her. She is great. Unless you do have appointment, the wait time is long, but if you have one, you're in and out. Highly recommend.
If you have an appointment first thing in the morning, the experience will be much better. There was still a bit of waiting around, but it was much faster than going in the afternoon when you can expect to spend at least 2 hours at the office. Dr. Galichon is very friendly and very thorough, if not a little rushed at times. She is reassuring and pleasant and I would recommend her very highly if I didn't always have to wait so long at the office.
Dr Galichon pointed me in the right direction for the right help--Thank you--Peter Minthorn
A friendly ,professional Doctor.
I did not feel 100% comfortable I think she underestimated my symthoms She did not tell me clearly what I did have
She always pays attention to what the patient says, and considers it seriously.
I have been seeing Dr. Galichon since 2002 and find her to be extremely competent and friendly. She is an excellent Primary Care Physician with a very nice bedside manner. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor.
excellent. less of a wait than usual. very thorough.
Covered the matters at hand and made excellent recommendations.
This practice's new location is a big improvement over its previous site. If you arrive early for the first appointment of the day, however, you are forced to wait in the downstairs lobby, which is extremely uncomfortable. I arrived 10 minutes early for my 9:00 a.m. appointment and had to wait downstairs. There is nowhere to sit except a hard marble ledge with no back support. As a senior citizen with serious arthritis, I was in considerable pain, which could have been avoided if suitable seating were provided in the lobby.
Dr. Galichon was very warm and professional. I did not feel rushed. The nurse was great. Only downside was a little bit of a wait, but that seems to be the norm when visiting any doctor.
Dr Galichon is the sweetest, kindest & most knowledgable DR that I know. I feel blessed to be her patient!
The staff and Dr. Galichon were wonderful! However, this was a tough day for them, and after being weighed, blood pressure taken, etc. I waited almost an hour to see her. She apologized over and over. Decided to give them another try and go back to do my physical and the rest of my health needs.
Always beneficial to pay her a visit when feeling unsure about your symptoms.
Nice, but always quite rushed! I usually don't have time to run through my concerns before she orders a test and finishes the appt.
I though she was very personal. She smiled and was pleasant. It wasn't the usual busy doctor who comes in, gets done what he/she needs to, and rushes out. She made the time for me and I found her staff to also be very helpful.
Very relaxing. There was no rush at all. Melissa drew blood, and would you believe there is not even a mark on my arm!!! Now that's good.
She was great– super sweet, and very kind. I will be returning.. this is how all doctors should act and tend to their patients. Trust me, I have encountered some weirds.
1st time at this clinic with the Dir, Nurse and location. Prompt, clean and very good service. I'd recommend visiting Dr Galichon and Beth Isreal Chelsea location!
Very solid doctors office
She is very accessible and pleasant.
The wait was too long. If I wanted to sit around for 55 minutes I could have just walked in. I waited just about an hour to see the doctor and another 20 minutes waiting for the assistant to take my blood. The doctor and assistant themselves were great, really nice people but when you have a tight schedule nice just doesn't cut it.
Everyone at her facility was kind and helpful. The nurse was great!
I have been seeing Dr. Galichon for over 15 years and just adore her. She is caring, compassionate, thorough, friendly, knowledgeable and respectful. Everything you'd want from a professional. She will be my primary for as long as we both are in town. I'm so glad the office moved last year. Now the wait times are down to a minimum, the waiting room is comfortable (still no reading material to speak of, so bring your own), and the staff aren't distracted or stressed out any more. This was a pleasant surprise.
Very thorough Doctor and friendly staff.
Galichon keeps you waiting for an hour and then gives you five minutes. She barely glanced at my history. This was the third chance I gave her because her office is convenient for me, but I won't be going back.
I am I love with Dr. Galichon and the whole team at her office. Every single person was wonderfully friendly and absolutely attentive and helpful. Dr. Galichon was kind and gave me exactly the care I needed. Honestly- it was the best doctors office experience I have ever had. I will definitely be back!
A smart and sensible lady.
The Doctor was very nice, but it took forever for me to be seen. I was at the office for two hours for a 5 minute visit, which is absurd. Since she was so far behind, I could tell that she wanted to do my visit as quickly as possible, but she tried her best to maintain a calf, nice demeanor.
She is very friendly and thorough. She made me feel very comfortable. I have recomended her to all my friends and colleagues. The nurses on staff are fantastic! The entire office is run extremely efficiently. What I love the most is that she will call you personally to give you test results if further discussion is needed.
Dr. Galichon was very pleasant! She was very professional!
She is an outstanding physician -- compassionate, friendly and professional
There was a lot of waiting for the doctor and nurses when I was in the consulting room .
Dr. Galichon is a terrific doctor-warm, kind, concerned, and very competent. I have been seeing her for nearly a decade. I highly recommend her!
She was great. But the wait caused me to have to come back for bloodworm. You need you get it together so patients don't wait 45 min to see a doctor!
Karen was very personable and attentive with good listening skills. I felt very comfortable with her and felt confident in her abilities and level of care.
Well, what a suprise...I got there early and was ushered right in!!! Very pleased with the nurse (Melissa) and the conversation with Dr. Galichon. It was a much more relaxed appointment than previous ones.
Dr. Galichon is great. Wish she did not run off after answering her questions. I had questions for her. I would have asked the nurse, but I waited long enough and needed to get back to work. Otherwise, she is great.
Dr. Galichon is great. The office is poorly managed though. A referral from the doc doesn't actually mean that the admin staff will actually generate an insurance referral. You end up going to your referred specialist and then getting billed. Then you have to fight with the specialist, the insurance co, and this office. What a pain!
She is a wonderful and caring doctor.
Dr. Galichon is very friendly and takes her time with you. Office staff are helpful and kind. Very little wait.
I've been seeing Dr Galichon as my primary care physician since 2007 and highly recommend her. She is competent and personable, with a warm but professional manner. She listens attentively to even my most hypochondriacal worries, and never fails to make me feel that my health care is in the best of hands.
I like Dr. Galichon, but the waiting is awful.
Dr. Galichon is kind, compassionate and a consummate professional. A blessing.
I don't always feel comfortable with doctors but Dr. Galichon is different. She also took a symptom seriously that I thought was just a normal part of aging. Other doctors had brushed off my symptoms. Dr. Galichon ordered a test that showed I had a serious medical issue. This could have gone undetected for years. Dr. Galichon saved my life.
referred me to person who wasn't the right person
She is patient, kind and provides the needed information. What more could one ask?
The doctor was fine, but the wait was terrible. I will no longer go to this practice. Furthermore, they did not seem to care that I waited over an hour and were very rude to me. I had a mid day appoitment and I do not think it was unreasonable to want to be seen promptly. especially when i was only going for a script refill.
This is the second review I've written about Dr. Galichon. She's an excellent Dr. who is concerned about her patients and who truly listens. I recommend her highly. '
She was great. Very professional. Nurses were great too!
Exactly what a visit to a doctor should be -- knowledgable, efficient, concerned.
I was seen promptly, which is why I made early-morning appointments. The new location is a big improvement on the old one, which was very shabby and had terrible ventilation. While this one isn't completely finished yet, it's already better.
Always great to see this PMD, very very nice lady!
She was very kind, and helpful. We were able to discuss some questions relating to preventive health measures.
she is wonderful, but as often happens i waited an hour and a quarter for her, roughly the same time it often takes for a walk in. it defeats the idea of making an appointment, and is especially difficult when one has other important commitments in the day. this has always been the problem with this clinic. i have reviewed the clinic before with similar comments, as have others, but nothing changes. when i raise the issue at the clinic, they just say they are 'understaffed'.
She is the most caring DR that I have ever seen!
Dr Galichon was great but her staff was slow and rude.
Excellent, knowledgeable and very nice.
Excellent appointment -time well spent
Very kind, and very helpful. She care very much for her patient.
Caring, professional doctor.
Dr. Galichon is a great family doctor.
Very smart, friendly and caring professional. Wait time much too long, though.
Dr. Galichon has been my primary care physician for several years and I am very satisfied with her. I have long been unhappy with the physical office setup, which is too small, airless, and shabby. I was delighted today to see signs announcing that the office is moving to new quarters in October.
She has been very proactive in helping me with my medical situations. Although I walked in with just a twisted ankle, she managed to help me with a much bigger medical issue I should be very careful about.
Excellent medical care
Very thorough and informative
It was ok. The visit was short. She seemed in a rush. But the medicine she gave me worked very well.
I am 50 years old and have seen MANY Doctor's in my day. Dr Galichon is the most thorough and caring Doctor that I have ever met. She's cares like your own Mom would care. But a Mom with a Medical degree! Thank you Dr Galichon!
EXCELLENT DR., FRIENDLY, OPEN TO YOUR PROBLEMS, HAS YOUR INTERESTS AND HEALTH AT HEART.
I had to wait over an hour, even though I had an appointment and there was no one there before me! The consultation itself was super fast - it was over in 5 minutes. After waiting so long she should have at least examined me calmly and carefully. Will not be going back.
I have been pleased with Dr. Galichon for several years. The physical office where she sees patients continues to have problems, however, and today was no exception, with air conditioning seriously inadequate to the weatehr.
my appointment was 55 minutes late
Only complaint was the wait time, but I was a new patient, and it was not too long of a wait all considered
A little rushed, but very nice!
She is competent and caring. :) Thank you!
Dr. Galichon is a very sympatico doctor. She listens to the health problems I am experiencing and reviews the chart. If I have a question, she gives me a direct answer so I don't have to leave entertaining imaginary scenarios.
Dr. Karen was polite and professional, but the entire clinic had an air of being disinterested and rushed in dealing with people. The medical equipment was obviously sanitary, but the place itself was rather dumpy and unclean looking. In the waiting room a large cockroach made its way across the carpet as I waited. The experience was unpleasant and impersonal, but it definitely could have been worse.
Sick for a week to get An hour & 15 min od waiting to have my vitals taken by a nurse who appeared to bothered having to do this & 5 min with the doctor who was in a rush.
Carefully listens to your concerns and addresses them.
It was a very enlighting visit Dr.Glachon may have figured out what has been making me ill with gastro issues and tiredness for the last 13 years. We are awaiting test results.Have seen many gastro experts and no one every mentioned this disease to me.
Excellent physician! Thorough, friendly. Highly recommend.
Always excellent service !
I was completely satisfied.
Very professional and nice set up. Clean environment. Location extremely convenient, right at the entrance of the No. 1 subway line. The whole process took a little longer than I expected, but it wasn't too bad.
i have no problems with Dr. Galichon, but to wait over an hour even when you have an appointment is unforgivable. this always happens, not always that long, but appointment times are invariably not kept to. there is no apology, no explanation. there is clearly something wrong with the way this place is organized.
The receptionist had me waiting for over two hours to see my doctor and when I asked how long I would have to wait he could not find my name on the sign in sheet when I stood in front of him and signed in as soon as I arrived. Was my name crossed out by mistake?
Dr. Galichon is wonderful. I have been going to her for close to a decade now. The logistics at the office are terrible though. My main complaint is about one of the front desk clerks at this office. She is very rude to patients. The other thing I don't like about this practice is the incredibly long wait times. Even WITH an appointment, I was there at the office for more than an hour and a half total just for a follow-up appointment. Also, this online appointment system doesn't seem well-synched with the actual office. I made my appointment online, and when I got to the front desk to check in, the receptionist told me that I shouldn't make appointments online again because each time I do that it creates a new file for me at the office and I appear as a new patient!
She was very helpful and attentive as i described what had happened to me and also referred me for x-rays since i requested them for my peace of mind...just waiting to hear back from her when she gets the results...but the visit was very pleasant...
Very good. She checked to see if I was exhibiting any side-effects - specifically dry cough from the ACE inhibitor - which I was, and she proceeded to change my medication since my pressure was down and had been. Following up in about a month for my annual and looking forward to getting a clean bill of health! Thanks again Doc!
I had to wait for a long time but she was professional.
Waited over an hour without being told the doctor was behind with her appointments. I was brought into the room at 1:00 for a 12:15 appointment. Once the nurse left I waited another 30 minutes to see the doctor then another 10 for the receptionist to hand me my prescription and take my co-pay. While I waited the 30 minutes in the hot stuffy exam room I stepped out to ask for water (felt dizzy) and was treated as if I made the most ridiculous request they had ever heard.
Dr. Galichon spent time listening to my concerns and also referred my to other specialists I would need. She was very knowledgeable and personable.
Great dr. and very apologetic for the wait, which was nice. +1
Dr. Galichon is great. I've been going to her for years. She's sympathetic and knows her stuff. The only complaint I've ever had is not about her but about the complex where she works which has been badly organized and understaffed resulting in long waits. I put up with this as I hold Dr. Galichon in very high esteem. However, I'm pleased to report that the situation appears to have been remedied and I was seen almost immediately.
Had to wait a long time.
I went in exactly on time, waiting a little bit in the actual room, but she was quick and very nice...would recommend her.
Dr was great once I got to her. I waited more than an hour and the front office staff was not very nice and the office really needs work. I called to confirm my follow up and was told I don't have an appt! I have follow up care needed but need to find another center that values my time and provides professionals in the front admin staff.
Even with an appt. I had to wait almost 45 minutes--but nurse did vitals right away and Dr. Galichon was not too far behind. Felt like Dr. listened and prescribed appropriately. Check out happened expediently. Good experience. AND great to be able to get an appt. set late on Sunday night for a Monday visit.
I really like Dr. Galichon a lot. She was there when another Dr. brushed me off. But, yesterday, I felt as though I were in the way. I had to ask for an EKG after I was told by her I would get one. For a 12:00 appointment I sat in rooms and didn't leave until 1:30. Prescriptions and a referral to a cardiologist. Last year Dr. Galichon asked if I had a flu shot. I hadn't and got one. I had planned to ask about it this year, but forgot and she didn't think of it either. Listening to a patient is important. I said Augmenten would not do anything for me. It is true. I have had so many antibiotics over the years that to take one that stretches that long (and may not work) usually means bronchitis. If she had listened she would have prescribed something else. Dr. Galichon is my primary Dr. & I would have liked a little more time. When we have taken time, I am usually satisfied.
Office was horrible - I waited over an hour to be seen!
I have always been happy with Dr. Galichon. She is professional, thorough, yet very warm and personable. Unfortunately, I was forgotten in the examining room after she met with me today. Someone accidentally "discharged" me, and so the medical assistant didn't know to come back to conduct my EKG or take blood (they thought I had gone home!). After about 30 minutes, it was discovered and I finally got my blood draw and EKG.
Dr. Galichon is very professional, she makes you feel comfortable. I would recommend her in a heart beat.
Dr. Galichon is excellent. She is thorough and very kindand attentive.
Dr. Galichon's a consummate professional. An acute listener, and enormously conscientious, which is exactly what you want in your primary physician. She's also always pleasant and respectful, and has willingly helped me (and I'm sure other patients) negotiate what came to be a bureaucratic nightmare, re: insurance reimbursement.
I have been a patient of Dr. Galichon's for about 10 years and think she is a great doctor. I live on Long Island and will travel to NYC just to be seen by her. It's better if you have an appointment vs. walking in as the wait time is never less then 2 hours. Takes forever to check in, then to get into a room. Once you're seen it's a quick check-out process. I know the front desk isn't a glamorous job, but they need to be a little friendlier and at least put a note to ask that patients sit until their called. They bite your head off if you ask a question. One female morning receptionist is very rude, or at least seems that way when I'm there. Otherwise, I wouldn't want to go to anyone else.
she was great but office is slow and they schedule too many folks to see her in too short of an interval.
Dr. Galichon is great.
Dr. Galichon is an attentive, active listener, and allows you to express all your opinions regarding what you are feeling, a rarity when MDs are being challenged by insurance companies, low fees for service and costs of practice in the USA.
The waiting room and examining room were extremely uncomfortable because of inadequate air conditioning. This has been a problem at this facility in the past as well.
Wait can be long (front desk isn't too efficient) but doctor is great (I highly recommend her).
I asked for an full body exam and she said she could not do it today, yet i had an appointment and when i made the appointment, i didnt specify what i needed. Therefore, how can i in the future make an appointment, wait forever in the waiting room for over an hour and then got told NO for an exam?
After waiting an hour and a half, I only saw Karen for about 6 minutes. I don't blame the appointment for being rather quick/impersonal; I think the clinic is severely understaffed.
Dr. Galichon is excellent. Thorough, professional, pleasant.
Dr. Galichon takes her time with her patients and if that means you have to way to see her that's okay because it is worth the way.
EXCELLENT AS ALWAYS
Dr. Galichon was very caring, patient, and professional. Unfortunately, I had to wait an hour PAST my scheduled appointment time to even get in a exam room, but I was very glad I had Dr. Galichon when I was finally seen. Thank you!
Karen is very warm and interested in my well-being. She is responsive to questions and offers preventive care suggestions to maintain good health. She is patient giving me time to consider my issues and thoroughly responding to those I present.
I liked the doctor.. She prescribed meds for my pain and told me if I did not feel better to call back.
Dr. Galichon is always friendly and sensitive. I feel confident with her care.
I had a wonderful experience. The woman at the front desk was a little unfriendly, but that was my only criticism.
I am always nervous when seeing a new doctor and the minute Dr. Galichon walked in the room, I was completely put at ease. She was easy to work with and very compassionate. I actually felt like she cared about me and wanted to make sure I would be healthy ASAP. Many doctors I have seen seem to be bored and annoyed with patients. Dr. Galichon was AMAZING!
I like Dr. Galichon, she's very nice and does seem to actually care about her patients.
Doc was excellent, friendly and welcoming. The wait in reception is always long, but that's the fault of a busy practice rather than the doc
The attention I received seemed minimal and impersonal. Everything seemed rushed. Note, I have just moved here from the south, so perhaps it's just the pace up here. Dr. Galichon was a great listener when I had something to say. She took everything into consideration.
fast and effivient
Dr. Galichon is a very kind and intelligent doctor. Her nursing staff is also awesome.
Very punctual and professional. I was in and out in under an hour without feeling rushed, and the staff was very courteous.
Dr Galichon is friendly and interested and I liked her straightforward, approachable and practical manner. Definitely returning.
