Dr. Karen Koumjian graduated from Smith College with a major in neuroscience. She was one of the first students to make this a major. It became the foundation for her interest in optometry. She then received her doctorate in optometry from the New England Eye Institute, where she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa honor society. Dr. Koumjian was the first female President of the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists. She has been in practice in Watertown for over 35 years. Dr. Koumjian enjoys playing the cello, dancing, and taking care of her family, including her dog Holly. *Dr. Koumjian and the staff at Watertown Eye are pleased to inform patients that we examine patients' retinas without dilating their eyes! Dr. Koumjian uses the Optomap instrument and the OCT instrument to thoroughly examine her patients' eyes. *N.B. - There is a small additional fee for such instruments and patients may opt out of using them. *When booking an appointment through Zocdoc, please include your home address.
