More about Dr. Karen Lytle-Glover, MD
Dr. Karen Glover is a graduate of Cornell University and Cornell University Medical College. She did her residency training at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan. She has been in practice since 1996 and is a Fellow of the American College of OB/GYN. After 20 years of delivery babies, Dr. Glover stopped the obstetrical part of her practice at the end of 2014. The decision was a difficult one as it was a part of her job that she truly loved. However, Dr. Glover felt that she needed to be more consistently present and available for her family at this time. Although she misses obstetrics, she is enjoying being able to concentrate her time on the needs of her gynecological patients. Her practice includes both office and surgical gynecology.
Dr. Glover spent much of her childhood abroad and speaks Spanish and Portuguese. She enjoys caring for women from the international community here in Delaware.
Dr. Glover served for 8 years as a medical officer in the U.S. Army Reserves where she was attached to the Darnall Army Medical Center at Ft. Hood, TX. After resigning her commission in 2011, she has had the time to be more involved with the Christian Medical and Dental Associations (CMDA). She has been on 3 medical missions trips to Nicaragua through Global Health Outreach, which is run by CMDA. Two of the trips were to provide cervical cancer screening to a high-risk population in Managua.
Dr. Glover has been married for 19 years to Peter who is a physical therapist. They have two daughters, a teen and a tween who are involved with sports and music. The Glover family enjoys traveling and spending time biking and playing various sports together.
