Her therapeutic approach draws from her assessment expertise and clinical work. She examines, analyzes, and treats both common and complicated emotional and behavioral conditions. Dr. Mikolic also helps parents with child care responsibilities, parenting strategies at home and school, and families transitioning through divorce.
Throughout her training, she worked with children and adults. Before becoming a psychologist, Dr. Mikolic was an elementary and high school teacher. Her professional experience supports children, adolescents, and adults facing major life obstacles and transitions. She provides psychological assessment to clarify and offer treatment recommendations for concerns such as Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, autism, and learning disorders. With her strong neuropsychology background, she tailors treatment to help patients achieve their highest functioning at school, work, or within family and community.
Dr. Mikolic transitioned to private practice three years ago after working several years at Orlando Regional Medical Center. There, she assisted patients with traumatic brain injury, stroke, amputation, spinal cord injury, memory disorders, and other medical complications. In addition to neuropsychological assessment, she provided therapy to support patients’ emotional functioning as they regained independence.
Dr. Mikolic has consistently balanced neuropsychological assessment and therapeutic work throughout her career.
