Dr. Nicholson was kind spirited and a sweet soul. I felt like I was talking to my cool uncle and the office space was beautiful, it had a nice ambience. He was direct and mission oriented, I went in there for help and felt comfortable and received it. Would recommend if you are looking for a doctor who makes you feel like family!

Hello! My name is Karlton Nicholson and I'm a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who is dedicated in providing exceptional mental health care to individuals and families in our community. I'm a proud graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, where I earned my Master of Science in Nursing degrees specializing in psychiatry. Following 22years military service in the USAF, I transitioned seamlessly into civilian life, where I've strived to make a profound impact in the field of mental health. I have a total of 11 years of experience working in the psychiatric/mental health field, five of those years as a RN and six years as a NP.
As a psychiatric NP, it is imperative to recognize the interplay between disorders such as depression and anxiety, and the stressors that individuals navigate in the modern world. An ideal treatment plan may include med mgt, psychotherapy, lifestyle modifications, and to effectively manage symptoms and improve resilience in face of societal stressors.
