In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? I believe in a ‘whole person caring’ approach to provide for both the physical and behavioral health needs of a patient. I believe the role of a provider should allow for patient collaboration to make mutual, informed and empowered healthcare decisions together. What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider? My passion, as a nurse practitioner, is exploring motivation for change with patients and expanding their possibilities by providing the knowledge to guide their decisions for a healthier life. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? I am a lifelong learner and have been a RN since age 20. I love the outdoors and like to travel. I kayak, garden, cook and write songs in my spare time.
