Katie Park is a Certified Nurse Midwife who has spent years supporting women and their families through childbirth. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. After 13 years working in the hospital and Labor & Delivery, she attained her Master’s of Science in Nursing at the
University of Cincinnati in 2017 followed by her certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board. The desire to help women throughout their lives, and be a long-term partner in their care, lead her to become a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM).
The term midwife means “with woman”. Midwives have shared in women’s lives for many centuries and are driven by their commitment to being with women from adolescence to after menopause. Nurse midwives begin their careers with a foundation in nursing science and following that they obtain an advanced degree as well as additional training to become a certified nurse midwife. The midwifery model encourages a partnership between a woman and her midwife so that she is actively involved in decisions concerning her care. Their scope of practice includes primary care, gynecologic and family planning services, as well as obstetrical care
through preconception pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period.

First of all, I loved Katherine Park. She was so nice, so attentive and so genuine in her interaction. Even though she was running an hour behind schedule, she did not rush and I was greatly appreciative of it. I will for sure be back to see her for any of my needs.
