Katie gained patient care experience working as a medical assistant at Dermatology Affiliates before attending Wake Forest University, where she earned her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. It was during her time at Dermatology Affiliates that her interest in dermatology began and continued to grow throughout her education. She is very excited to return to Dermatology Affiliates as a Physician Assistant.
From a young age, Katie has always had a passion for helping others, whether it was taking a sick classmate to the nurse’s office or providing sunscreen to her friends on mission trips. Using her passion for helping others, she is excited to treat her patients’ dermatologic concerns. Katie believes in working with individual patients to develop a treatment plan that works best for each person. Additionally, she believes the medical field is constantly advancing and enjoys staying up-to-date on medical literature and attending medical education events.
Katie is a member of the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants.
