Dr. Kathleen Brown is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a Fellow with the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and a member of the Florida Obstetric and Gynecologic Society, Florida Medical Association, Judeo Christian Clinic, St. Joseph’s Hospital Surgical Suite Committee, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL)
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Brown earned a baccalaureate degree in biology from the University of Richmond, Virginia in 1986. She did a pharmacology internship with A.H. Robbins Pharmaceutical Company, and then worked for Burroughs Wellcome Company until 1989. She earned her doctor of medicine in 1993 at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. While in medical school, Dr. Brown was elected to the medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha. She did her internship in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, followed by residency in obstetrics and gynecology, also at the University of Maryland. She joined Drs. Yelverton, Lerner, Fallieras, Kilbride, Marston, Jaeger, and Minton in August 1998.

I've seen Dr. Brown since I was pregnant with my first child 22 years ago. She always remembers me and my family. Great listener and problem solver! Office is very friendly and efficient.

Always quick to get from the check in to waiting room to exam room. Everyone at this office is really friendly and the area is always really clean. I love the staff here as well as Dr. Brown and her RN Elaine because they are caring but still thorough. I love that they care about all their patients and not just the expectant ones; I’ve been to other OB/GYN offices in the past where they only cared about pregnant patients and didn’t take any time or care with everyone else. This office cares about everyone and doesn’t skimp on quality just because of your family status. I prefer this Virginia office over the one on Fletcher, I just think it is set up nicer and it’s closer to me as well. I also like that they had info on other doctors in their group so if you need a primary care doctor or another specialist you have somewhere to start and know they will take your insurance too. 10/10 recommend.

Off all my doctors and I have many, Dr. brown is my favorite and the best! She is so friendly and so very caring. Staff is always the best! I have recommended to many. Keep it up!!!!!

I had a wonderful experience. Dr. Brown was very attentive. She read my papers. Asked numerous questions. The staff was also very professional. They removed that dreaded feeling you get when going to the GYN. She's a women's doctor! I highly recommend her. Go see for yourself, you'll leave with a smile.

I’ve been using Dr. Brown now for a few years. She is wonderful and so are her nurses and the rest of the staff. The only complaint I have is that the wait time can be excessive sometimes but ultimately I feel the service outweighs this complaint

I've been to both offices and all of the staff that I've came into contact with were excellent. Friendly, welcoming and they all made it clear from start to finish. Dr. Hershberger and Dr. Brown delivered my last 2 children... they were excellent then and are excellent now.
