Dr. Kathleen Morgan is a board-certified family practice doctor with Pioneer Medical Group, who has been serving patients in the local area since 2007.
Dr. Morgan became interested in medicine when, as a child, she noticed her grandparent’s health begin to change with age, and felt motivated to help people stay healthy. Dr. Morgan studied microbiology at the California State University of Long Beach, and received her medical degree at the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. She went on to complete her medical training at Pacific Hospital in Long Beach.
Dr. Morgan recommends to each of her patients that they stay active and get regular exercise. She also says that small changes to your lifestyle, like drinking less soda, can help you to stay healthy. “Small changes are always the easiest to make,” says Dr. Morgan, “but they can have a big impact on your overall health.”
Dr. Morgan leads an active lifestyle, and enjoys gardening, bicycling, and tennis, as well as raising her young son. “My most rewarding activity is playing with my son and watching him grow,” says Dr. Morgan, “He shows me how to view the world in a new light.”

Some issues were put on the back burner. Was told to come back in a month for my back that was making me bed ridden. Also, went to get blood work done. Mind you, my appt was at 11:30 and it was passed one at this point. Got to the lab and no one was there. When I asked about it, I was told they were on lunch and would be back in 45 minutes. No thank you.

I can confirm that she is very warm and knowledgeable. You'll never feel rushed or unheard. She took her time with me to go over every detail and concern. She believes in troubleshooting your issues prior to simply issuing a prescription and sending you on your way. I'm vegan (plant-based diet) and it was so refreshing to see she aligns similarly with my own holistic approach to my self-care. I definitely feel I found the right doctor for me. Because of the kind of doctor she is, I definitely will tolerate the wait time to see her. The facility she practices in is nothing to write home about. Wait room is generic, as well is the patient rooms. The receptionists at the front seem friendly enough and I was checked in right away.

The most at ease I've ever felt in a doctor's office. Professional and caring, and never rushed - Dr. Morgan gives plenty of opportunities for questions and shows a real interest in addressing concerns.

What a waste of time and money. I left work 2 hours early and waited 90 mins to see the doctor just to be told to gargle with salt water after continually explaining my illness. I will never see this doctor again.

I had an appointment with Dr. Kathleen Morgan today and she was back up with other patients, like she has been the last few visits. In other words, she was behind and I would be expected to wait for her for sometime. I was a little late due to driving two hours to get in Los Angeles traffic where I live now. I signed in for my appointment and sat down. As a result, they asked her if I waited longer would she still see me, and she said, no. I needed to reschedule. Also, she would not refill my medicine unless I saw her. That was partly why I needed to get in today. Also, I was just in that clinic twice in the last 2 months and that didn't count. Plus, made a third trip there for a blood test that she had my results for. In addition, I expressed I was in pain. They said, I could wait for later tonight for the after hour clinic. I have been there twice for the after hour clinic and by then all the computers are closed up and they can't do any thing. They said it was my only option. I said, I will get another doctor and they said it was fine. I drove 1 1/2 hours home after my long drive for nothing. They should have at least cancelled the appointment before I drove the distance instead of just not taking me for my appointment.

This is the 1st time that I did not feel rushed for my 1 year exam. I found my new doctor for life this time. Very kind and detail oriented. Explained everything that she was doing along with better alternative medicines etc. The nurse " Vanessa " was fantastic along with the billing department " Jessica " who helped me with my insurance company Blue Cross nightmare.. I am impressed! She is phenomenal! She answered all my questions, gave me advice on how to incorporate exercise in my daily routine. She actually counseled me and did not make me feel rushed or incompetent. She listened, she did not over talk me. She treated me with respect and professionalism.She was thorough. She made sure that I properly understood how to do a self-breast exam. She took her time and did not overlook anything. Some things I was afraid to ask her and she somehow figured out what was important to address. She is awesome. I am proud to say she is my new doctor!
