I am a fellowship-trained Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 10 years of experience in behavioral healthcare. My compassion and dedication afforded me the honor of being selected as one of DFW's Top 100 Nurses of 2023. My education includes a Master of Science in Nursing from UTA and subsequent board certification from the ANCC. I have trained throughout the healthcare continuum including psychiatric emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and consult liaison services.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Dr. Farishta was initially excellent and offered me the option of medication, which I was looking for. However, after the initial meeting, she became consistently late to our appointments by 10-15 minutes. My appointment today, though, she was a complete no-show. No communication at all for an hour. I then get a call that she was called to the hospital and she let the time get away from her. I understand that things can come up, but I'm bummed that there was no communication from her at all and that I was left in her wait-room for 30 minutes before opting to leave and find someone else.

So kind, so thorough and determined to be clear on making sure I felt comfortable and able to address anything. Very knowledgeable and confident in her capabilities but also honest about things she is not well-versed in. Absolutely validated my struggles that I have been told were caused by a disorder we found out I do not have despite being diagnosed and medicated months ago. I have been miserable and she’s the first medical professional in my life to take me 100% seriously off the bat. It was a breath of fresh air to speak with someone down to earth and on my level. I’m so glad I found Kathryn.

Such a great experience. Often medication appointment TD involve long waits and this was quick. The provider was knowledgeable and educated my child on what the medication was for. I felt she took time with us and was so great to meet from the comfort of our home!
