Katie Spira is a board certified family nurse practitioner. Katie’s main focus is on building relationships with her patients to establish a collaborative approach to managing their health. Katie has experience managing the full spectrum of primary care, from general wellness exams to hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disease, asthma, anxiety/depression, women’s health, and any other medical concerns that you might have. She would love to be your primary care provider and work with you to meet your health care goals.
Katie is originally from Chicago but moved to Colorado for her first undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado in Boulder. After spending some time working in the outdoors she went back to pursue her nursing degree at the University of Colorado in Denver. As a nurse, she spent time working in both inpatient medicine and in the field of women’s health. She then went on to pursue her degree in advanced practice nursing at the University of Colorado and graduated with honors as a family nurse practitioner. She has spent the majority of her career as a nurse practitioner working in family medicine and as such, she has experience working with diverse communities. Katie loves being able to be a part of her patient’s lives as their primary care provider.

Dr Spira is the most caring doctor I have ever visited. She went in depth to explain what was going on with my medical condition, what I need to do to get better, and an approximate timeline with detailed info explaining when I should start seeing improvements.. She even called me a few days after my appointment to check in and see how I was doing. Her staff is extremely helpful as well, and I was seen at the exact time for both of my appointments, there was no wait at all. Thank you Zocdoc, I am very lucky to have found Dr Spira.
