She was thoughtful, considerate, and put me at ease right away
What a blessing to find such a talented, educated, patient, and Seriously caring doctor and staff. I felt ..I felt like it used to be when you went to the Doctors office....like part of the family not just money in the pockets patient.. Huge blessing to find such a GEM.
I am delighted with Dr. Rao's compassion and competence, as well as that of her staff. I appreciate Dr. Rao's holistic approach to health care. I think art of the extended wait time to see her was due at least in part to the fact that I am a new Medicare patient.
The wait is longer than I'm used to BUT I believe she gives you all the time you need; no rushing from one patient to another.
The nurse, Paula, was excellent and very kind and thorough. Dr. Rao was very pleasant and seemed knowledgeable. The exam time was short but I didn't feel rushed.
Great l9cation great staff and great Doctor. Highly recommend.
Although the wait was long, I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the office. Staff was inviting and helpful. Dr. Rao is a sweet woman that made me feel comfortable during my visit. I plan to make her my primary physician.
The wait was worth it!!!!! I've worked in a hospital for 21 years, and have been to doctor's all my life...in short, never have I experienced a more kind and compassionate physician. Dr. Rao gets medicine RIGHT!
Other than the wait (which was quite excessive), the office was efficient and effective.
Office was nice but staff did not read my reason for scheduling appt and when I seen the doctor I was told she did not treat my condition. she had staff look up my zocdoc to confirm I did indeed specify the reason for my visit but made no effort to get me into a doctor that could see me or even write me a script for 2 days to get me through the weekend. It is very hard for me to get off work and now I will be calling in monday due to the staffs lack of knowledge.
Well worth the wait. Waiting room for 75 minutes. Wait in exam room for 25 minutes. Face time with the doctor 25 minutes. I've been to a fair about of doctors since moving to Florida last April and I've been less than enthused about my experiences over all - I'm on my 3rd ortho, about to be 4th. But Dr. Rao was fantastic. Super personable, took me seriously, answered all of my questions. There's nothing worse than waiting, paying for the doctor, and leaving with unanswered questions or confusing information. I've finally found a fabulous PCP!
Dr. Rao was very personable, professional and more than able to take care of my concerns. I'm happy to have found her. Great office staff. Actual wait time until I was able to see her was longer than I'd like but think it was because it was my first visit. Had many forms to fill out even though I had filled similar ones out on line with zocdoc prior to arriving. This dueto security issues.
She was absolutely lovely, and ready to hear everything I have to say and all of my concerns. Cant wait to check back in with her!
Her bedside manner was great and she listened to what I had to say. She then prescribed me a new medicine for me for my anxiety. Cost way to much which made my anxiety worse. No way to get in touch with her for a change over the weekend. Then when I called Monday for help, I was never able to talk to someone that could assist me. I called every two hours and Never received help. Ended up finding a new provider in Tampa. When dealing with anxiety disorders there should be a better way!
I found Dr. Rao to be warm, engaged, and thorough. Most often, doctors seem rushed and distracted, but I didn't sense even a hint of this with Dr. Rao. She was "present" in the conversation and genuinely interested in helping me find answers for my health concerns. There was a bit of a wait, but for a doctor who is both knowledgeable and takes her time with you, I'd say the trade-off was worth it.
Professional. Kind. Courteous.
Very nice MD had me laughing and made me feel confident in a Dr
She listened to me, asked me a lot of questions and then she came up with a plan to treat me, I am very pleased and I am sure she will be able to help me to get well, thank you doctor Rao!
The physician is wonderful, very knowledgeable and seemed very up to date in her field. I had to wait over an hour to be seen, which was not pleasant. However, she apologized for the wait, and the other side of the coin: she was delayed due to emergency visits for existing patients; it's good to know she will make an effort to see you and not send you to the ER or urgent care. I don't want to come off as a drug seeker, but she also requires an in person visit for refills of controlled substances, and only prescribes them 30 days at a time. I completely understand the reasons for this policy, but it does seem expensive and inconvenient for people who are on these medicines. Overall, very good, just make sure you bring a book and don't have anything pressing scheduled right after.
Doctor Rao has treated me very well. \ Her nurses are nice, and very helpful. Dr. Rao has figured out my meds so that I am not in constant pain, Due to severe Scoliosis. She gives great referrals to specialists. She asks a lot of good questions, and spent a good amount of time with me. I really am happy that I found her on ZocDoc That said: The only problem is getting to the great people in the office The Receptionist is extremely frustrating to deal with.. I got left on hold forever. Twice! "please hold, click", too. Also, she doesn't quite have her English down enough to be answering phones. Just a nightmare for me to deal with. It could be just me. I am hoping that someday English Speaking person will answer the the phone. at Dr. Rao's office. Then i can reap the benefits of the wonderful back office staff. It is always a pretty long wait, about a a half hour, to get into the Exam room. Very slow reception.
Didn't like her at all the office is disgusting. Don't waste your time and money. So disappointed
She has great bed side manners and very easy to talk to
She was kind and made me feel comfortable.
Very informative and comforting . She put me to ease and it was overall great experience
Dr. Rao was very helpful and she made me feel important. The wait time was expected to be long but nonetheless it was normal for me to wait about 30 mins. I really am glad my husband recommended her. She's also very kind-spirited and to me, feeling connected with my doctor is highly important.
She was polite ,professional and informative.
Very good Dr. who takes time to listen.
I have stage 4 cervical cancer, I've been having trouble finding a pain management doctor, so I called my primary care doctor for help. I have been on oxycpdone for 5 months, because I endure a lot of pain every day. I have medicaid share of cost. She seemed to have no compassion for my situation, and treated me like a drug addict, in her tone of voice and the way she looked at me. I am just trying to get through everyday life, and she didn't really seem to care!
The Doctor was very nice. Informative and easy to meet.
She is highly intelligent and listens to everything you have to say thoroughly. For the first time in a long time I felt as if someone else is really trying to figure out what is wrong and improve my health. Thank you very much!!
Very polite and knowledgeable. MD and assistant made sure you were comfortable.
Totally enjoyed my visit! Discussed plan of care. Very thorough. Staff were very nice also.
She was one of the best doctors I have ever been to.
I thought she was attentive and smart. And I just liked her. I have been searching for a doctor that will take time to listen to me and I found her today.
Very nice. Dr Rao and her staff weres great!!
She is awesome, she explained things to me in a manner that I could understand
Very informative, thorough in explaining all the procedures and reasoning behind treatment.
Excellent experience w/ Dr as well as staff members! I'm certain that I've made the right decision in choosing a Dr that is truly interested in your health, and properly diagnosing your condition.
Her nurse was sweet but front office staff was rude and waited 2 hours to be seen. Only to be referred somewhere else.
She did not follow thorough with anything she said when she saw me as an inpatient. It was like she had never talked to me and made me feel like a fool.
Dr. Kavita Rao was the shadiest doctor I've ever seen. She asked me the same questions 2 and 3 times "what is your marital status" and then gave me dirty looks after answering her. She'd then twist my answers around and ask me "so what you are saying is" and I'd repeat "no" that isn't what I said. Dr. Rao acted as if she was upset that I had an appointment with her. Even though I provided her office with my driver's license and they made a copy of it, they have my address and gender incorrect in their records. They allegedly mailed my blood test results to another town and then to my correct address, however I've never received them. I physically drove to her office to pick them up and was told the results weren't back yet. After further explanation, I was given a copy of the results.
Dr Kavita was very helpful and knowledgable. Wait time was a little long once I was back in the appointment room, but they warned me about that.
Dr Rao was personable, professional and knowledgeable. She listened. Staff is friendly and helpful.
I was truly impressed with Dr Rao and her staff. She was very compassionate and knowledgeable. Her staff was kind and courteous.
I really liked dr. Rao, she made me feel welcomed and gave great advice.
Made me feel welcome being a new patient with no insurance!
Very thorough. ..listens. Actually familiarized herself with my medical records before our consultation.
I just felt like I was another person to walk through the door. She wasn't personable at all nor very friendly. I had many issues as to Why I went there and none of my needs were met. None.
She was thorough, asked all the questions, actually read my chart and seemed very caring and NICE! Nurse as well.
I had a really pleasant experience. Paula, the nurse who met with me prior to my appointment with Dr. Rao, was incredibly friendly and made me feel really welcome and comfortable. Dr. Rao was also very nice and friendly, and thorough - she explained everything I needed to know, and ensured all my questions were answered before I left the office. I will certain return to Dr. Rao.
To be fair she is a nice person but I am basing the review on overall experience. I arrived 10 minutes prior to the appointment (2:50 PM). I notified the front desk that I submitted the paperwork via ZocDoc and she indicated that since I didn't print it, I'd have to redo all of them again. That took 20 minutes. So don't bother doing the pre-forms. I wasn't brought back until 3:30. Height, weight, blood pressure, and temp were taken in about 5 minutes. I was then left in that room for about 10 minutes surrounded by other patients paperwork alphabetized in folders and not locked away. Someone comes and gets me and says we have a room for you to wait in until the doctor becomes available. Fast forward to 4:00. Doctor arrives. She's cordial but gave a sub par physical. Listened to heart and lungs and checked for problems with appendix. Asked a few questions, but that was it. They outsource their bloodwork to other offices so I have to setup another appointment to supplement this appointment. Long story short: did paperwork twice; waited an hour to see the doctor for five minutes of questions and a half-assed physical. Side-note: when walking into the office, don't be surprised if you feel like you time warped back to the 70s. Question for the doctor: why even bother using ZocDoc if you don't use the forms and stick to the time I scheduled to see you?
She was great! She made me feel that I was her only patient and that she cared.
Dr Kavita Rao was extremely intelligent and understanding, she was able to predict my remaining symptoms as soon as I started residing few of my symptoms. I was soo much relieved, though it was my first visit to meet her. She was friendly and helped me to be comfortable. I would highly recommend her.
The staff is friendly and professional, and Dr. Rao was a real pleasure to talk to. She is the first local doctor I've found who I feel like really understood my problems and needs and was very proactive. I feel I can trust her and will definitely go back! Only complaint was the small size of the (very crowded) waiting room and the long wait; still, I appreciate a doctor who is willing to take a little extra time with her patients even it means I might have to wait longer than I'd like.
Very professional and to the point
Great first impression, great staff.
I was very pleased and satisfied with Dr. RAO M.D. The dr.was thorough, efficient, informative and she seem to care about me.
Very eerie feeling to the office. The wait time was insanely long. The doctor also grabbed my belly fat and tried to offer unsolicited advice as to how I can lose weight....by snacking on tic tacs.
All staff very proffesinal and friendly
The longer wait time was primarily due to a scheduling mix-up. However, Dr. Rao is well worth waiting for! She is the only doctor I have found (in many, many years) who actually takes as much time as is needed with each individual patient. She doesn't practice "assembly line" medicine, so she probably isn't getting rich in her medical practice, but that's really a good thing for her patients- she is dedicated to providing the best care she can for each and every patient who walks through her door! I highly recommend Dr. Rao.
Wonderful! Very caring, very professional! Highly recommend.
My wait time was too long......i might not have minded if the Dr. was pleasant......she called me a drug addict...i moved here from Ohio and coming to Florida with these new legislation laws has been an awful experience for me.....i would never go back to her or any other Dr. that called me a drug addict.....
She is a doctor that will take time with you. Very personable and caring. Glad I found her.
I think that she is an incredible physician that has so much to give to our community.
Dr was great, explained things well and was very patient with questions.
Very nice and professional! : )
She understood what I needed
Loved this dr! She was so nice and really made me feel like she was going to fix me. And I hope she did!
The front desk is useless and doesn't care about making you wait or missing work. They don't care about what you wrote on ZocDoc and ignore you when ask how long it will be.
As a new patient with on-going medical needs, Dr.Rao was extremely thorough not only with reviewing my records, but also when speaking with me regarding my treatment. I was completely comfortable with her and plan to continue my care with her. I should also note that the technician who did my preliminary work ie: blood pressure, temperature, current concerns was equally as kind and thorough as Dr. Rao - she is is a great asset to what I consider my overall care.
Every body in this office was very nice!
Very impressed with Dr. Rao's knowledge. She informed me of matters no other doctor has.
She and her office care a lot more than the office that just denied me care, after over a year, out of the blue. regards, mm
Very intellectual (you'd be surprised how much some doctors just don't understand). Dr. Rao was very insightful during my appointment and found that what I thought I was doing right for my problem (my last doctor's method) but was actually not helping at all and that's why it was not getting better so she put me on the right prescription.
All was good they got me in very quick as a new patient i liked that
