Dr. Kavitha Gopal obtained her medical degree from Madras Medical College in Chennai, India. She completed her residency and fellowship training at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. Dr. Gopal is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. She has actively participated in several research projects, which have been published in leading gastroenterology journals. Her scientific works have been presented in international digestive disease meetings. She has won several awards and grants including Empire Clinical Research Investigators Program (ECRIP) Award, medical school scholarship grant, virology fellowship grant and several travel grants. In addition to general gastroenterology, she has special interest in hepatology, colon cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease and treatment of reflux. Dr. Gopal is fluent in Tamil and Telugu and is also proficient in Hindi.

I love her she really cares about her patients, she always answer every question or concern. She takes her time. She gave me advice on how to manage my Gerd and Ibs. Overall she is wonderful.

I went in there to test for a specific issue. Instead, the test wasn't given and I was scheduled for an expensive procedure, which I ended up canceling. Going to the doctor is stressful enough, but it's even worse when you feel like you wasted time and nothing was resolved.

I was completely satisfied with my visit to Kavitha. She is very patient and polite. Also Very comfortable to talk & to explain the problem. She answers to my questions patiently. I would highly recommend anyone to visit her. The only thing which i am concerned about is the wait time. But, its okay its not too bad, almost all hospitals are making patients to wait for at-least 20-30mins.

Wait time was 45 min, but that was expected from other reviewers. Another patient in the room said he had been waiting an hour. I brought a book. Dr Gopal is very professional, no nonsense type. She seemed very knowledgeable and was willing to work with me to find out what was causing my stomach symptoms. Didn't seem to be too crazy about ordering diagnostics and wasn't dismissive of my own thoughts on the matter. The rest of the staff was all very pleasant.

Just wanted to say thank you Dr. Gopal and Dr. Harris for changing my daughter feeding tube and listening to me on what exactly what my daughter needed. You all just don't know how much you helped me and my daughter. Love you all for that. I have to say a big thank you to Dr. Gopal nurse assistant Lakeisha you was so helpful and understanding of what type of feeding tube that I wanted for my daughter. You went above and beyond of making sure I got what I wanted and the job was done. We need more staff and Doctors like you all to be more understanding on what parents need and want for their child, (in my case my daughter is disabled). You all have a new patient now and we will continue to come to y'all for my daughter needs especially for her feeding tube. She is doing well with her new mini one button and I'm loving it. May God continue to Bless you all.

I chose Dr. Gopal for insurance reasons and so far I am very pleased with Dr. Gopal and her staff. I did not have to wait and she was friendly and informative. I had to wait about 3 weeks for an appointment which isn't too bad. Location is good and the office is modern and inviting.
