I've been going to Dr. Berdick for almost 15 yrs. I'm used to the wait, his bedside manner and I will continue to go to him because he knows me and always recommends exactly what I need. I cannot count the number of friends I've referred to him over the years. BTW...I'm also self pay, so when my insurance went out...I STILL went to see him. He's a great doctor!

Dr. Berdick is a great Physician. Very attentive and takes the time to explain things. I never feel rushed when he is in the room. The wait to see him can be a bit of a challenge. I had a 6:00 appointment but wasn't seen until 6:50. Kinda defeats the purpose of an appointment.

He was great with me it's my daughter he was very disrespectful. Told her all her problems were caused by her being fat! Would ask her questions and as she was in the middle of answering he would cut her off and start stating that too is caused by your weight (giggles). We are a family of 5 and we were hoping to have found a doctor that all of us would like, well back to the drawing board! As opposed to him getting 5 patients he got 0 keep that up and you last long.

He is a great doctor but his staff that you first see when you walk in the door. Not a hello nothing and rude! Doesn't seem like they would go that extra mile for customer service on top of looking like they just rolled out of bed !

I found Dr. Berdick to be personal and professional. I needed a complete physical and felt he and his staff did an excellent job. I would highly recommend him to others. I also liked his early office hours. He starts scheduling appointments at 6 AM.

Dr. Berdick has got to be one of the few most selfless, the most people-friendly, empathetic, sympathetic, compassionate, thoughtful and knowledgeable doctors of internal medicine in the Western Hemisphere.
I have seen him many times at his office (both at the time when my grandmother was seeing him and when I was there for myself) and each time he was swarmed by patients to whom he politely and humanely attended with a composed, calm smile.
As far as my own experience of treatment is concerned - Dr. Berdick practiced a multi-dimensional approach to my health concerns, involving the precise testing, listening and attentive attitude - followed by thoroughly analytical and timely explanation of the condition, the treatment and - best of all - WHAT I CAN DO TO IMPROVE MY HEALTH ! I credit Dr. Berdick with saving my grandmother's health and life. His deep knowledge of human kind and human condition is a great asset to his work.
This gentleman of the old school is also an intellectual entity of the highest order with whom one can hold a reasoned conversation about any topic of significance to life. I must say as a European cosmopolitan person who has traveled around the world and been exposed to different cultures - that Dr. Berdick stands out in my memory as the noblest example of the heights that the true medical profession can take willing individuals who took the ancient Oath of Hippocrates seriously.
Kudos to Dr. Berdick - and Mazel Tov !

I injured myself at work in 2009 have had to have surgery, and it did not take.
We moved to FT-Myers recently and are in need of a good doctor far from what we got with this guy! Brought my mother and myself in, my mother went first he was the most polite and understanding doctor with her bedside manners were great! (I thought)
Well my mother is a skinny, beautiful woman, so he sent her up to do extra testing now its time for my appointment his whole demeanor changed (see I am overweight, and not half as pretty as my mom, and I am a lesbian to boot) he would ask me a question and as I was answering would cut me off with a low pitch giggle and say "well that because of your weight" really? Then he told me the surgery I had done because for my accident shouldn't of happened it was the weight that caused it! Really? Now listen my weight has been one of my biggest battles my whole life for sure but for a "professional" doctor to put it out there like that is not my idea of a nice bedside manner. So I stated to my mother that I will not go back and not only did she agree with me but wants me to find her a new doctor as well. So I cannot and will not recommend this guy to ANYONE, everyone beware!

Made an appt on-line Sun. evening for 10:30. Arrived at 10:00 and found the office full of patients! Waited 3 hours. When finally seen by the doctor I was highlty impressed. He explained my problem thoroughly and I would return but would call the office first thing in the morning.
