Dr. Leavitt assessed my visual needs, explained the options and limitations then provided a recommendation. I found him to be very professional, yet understanding of my visual difficulties. He took the time to explain different treatment modalities that applied for me at this point in time and in the future, then provided me with pertinent eye care strategies.

Quick, yet patient centered. I am a new patient that will be having a refractory procedure done elsewhere, but needed some additional Testing. Dr. Leavitt and his technical staff not only completed the necessary examinations, happily answered my questions/concerns about the procedure (despite my not having the procedure done there), and offered to provide follow-up care.

Dr. Leavitt has served Seattle’s vision care needs since 1991. He has been involved in research, teaching and lecturing other doctors, and writing articles for Ophthalmology journals.
With over 20 years experience as a Refractive Surgeon, Dr. Leavitt has performed over 17,000 LASIK procedures and is skilled in alternative vision correction technologies such as ICL, premium cataract surgery, and lens replacement, corneal transplant surgery and surgical treatment of eye diseases.
Dr. Leavitt was the first ophthalmologist in the region to perform Intralase™ bladeless and Custom Wavefront guided laser vision correction surgery.
Dr. Leavitt trained at the University of Michigan Medical School and the prestigious Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. He has served as a clinical instructor, investigator, and consultant to several medical organizations and institutions including the FDA.
Dr. Leavitt has had LASIK surgery himself.
LASIK is not for everyone and on average Dr. Leavitt rejects 10% of applicants for LASIK, recommending and providing alternate vision care for the majority of those patients.

Was mis-led that this was a full appointment as they don't fill contact prescriptions and the assistant did all of my exam. Plus as he is a lasik eye doctor, once i said i wasn't interested in surgery he wasn't interested in helping me with other questions. He was super nice to start though and his assistant was great.

On the plus side I was seen right away and the appointment was very quick. The doctor also seemed very professional. On the negative side the lady who took me to the room and did my pre exam was not friendly at all. While the doctor is competent he is also cold and not very personable. I won't go back.

I went to 3 other LASIK places before deciding to have my surgery @ Bellevue Lasik & Cornea. Dr. Leavitt was very calming and the staff was thorough and thoughtful. An exceptional surgical experience. I highly recommend Bellevue Lasik and Cornea.
