On-par with the rest of the reviews here. Excellent bedside manner and very thorough in her exams. I felt like she really listened, is very knowledgeable and I received what I thought was proper care. The wait though--it was two hours. The staff was honest, though and I had the opportunity to go elsewhere but I decided to stay. Note: if you book a timed appointment here, do not expect to get that time. Other than this, I would return.

In order to pursue her medical degree, Dr. Jean-Jerome attended the State University of Haiti. She continued her medical education at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center. Here, she received residency training in both pediatrics and internal medicine. At the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, Dr. Jean-Jerome completed a fellowship program in nephrology.

My visit with Dr. Jean-Jerome was really good. She is a very supportive doctor and looks out for her patients well being. I wish she had more permanent assistance around the office. This might shorten the wait time tremendously.

I have been going to Mrs. Kernilde for almost 3 years now. She is knowledgeable, and has great bedside manor. The remaining staff don't seem to be held to the same standard. In every single physical I've had (3 now) the blood work has been messed up and I've had to come back in again to get my blood drawn. They forgot to request test A, or they forgot to put my name the tube for test B. In the most recent escapade, my records had not been updated for over a year despite 2 intermittent visits (resulting in improper blood work). The office is dilapidated, and I don't think I have ever seen paper towels in the bathroom. You set an appointment? More of a guideline then an actual appointment. I haven't waited less then an hour to see her, on average waiting beyond 2 hours. Whoever comes in first and puts their name on the paper is the person seen first. For a public free clinic that might work, but not for an office. I hate leaving negative reviews, but these are basic things every doctor's office has to be able to maintain. I like you Mrs. Kernilde, I hope these are things you can address.

The good: This was my first time seeing this doctor. Receptionist was helpful and informative. Appointment went smoothly. Doctor was kind, listened and addressed my issues.
The bad: I made the 1st appointment of the day, arrived almost 15 minutes early and still ended up waiting an hour to be seen.
I returned for blood work the following day at 10 AM (opening time), having fasted since midnight the night before, and waited outside in the cold 15 minutes for the cleaner to finish cleaning the lobby. Then I waited an additional 45 minutes after checking in for the blood technician to arrive. An hour after I arrived, the blood tech finally arrived and saw the first patient. I was finally seen at 11:30 and was done in 5 minutes.

I love Dr. Jean-Jerome. She is an amazing doctor and really cares for you as her patient. The only issue I have is the wait time at her office. No matter when you come it is over two hours. I guess she worth the wait.

Dr. Jean-Jerome was extremely pleasant, and in the end I didn't mind the wait due to her presence. The rest of her staff is another question; they seemed a little confused at times as to what they should be doing. But I do plan to return, nonetheless.

I appreciate when a doctor is honest about the level of expertise they have and if a patient needs to be referred to a specialist, they are more than willing to make the referral. She was honest and knowledgeable in her area of medicine. She was also willing to do a series of test to find out more about the physical changes I am experiencing.

The doctor was quick once I saw her. She provided a lot of referral information. Even though I sought information about weight loss, I had to ask her for same. She was patient and had suggestions and a preventative plan that other doctors did not mention. My biggest concern was her assistant who referred to me and took my vitals while on a personal call. I dont want to know my weight or BP let alone someone else knowing same; the doctor should properly train her staff on HIPPA concerns.
