I felt the advice was adequate. PA was careful, supportive, attentive. Surgeon was rushed, did not seem to want to spend time with me. Maybe 5 minutes for an initial visit...no rapport. I hope I am given more time post MRI. I need him to be attentive & show done concern. Even if he isn't concerned, I may still face surgery and need support.

Dr. Murphy is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine. He has a special clinical interest in the care and rehabilitation of injured athletes of all ages. His surgical expertise includes arthroscopy, joint reconstruction and orthopaedic trauma. Dr. Murphy is currently an assistant team physician for the Portland Timbers professional soccer team and orthopaedic consultant for the Portland Thorns, along with providing orthopaedic care at the Nike Sports Medicine Clinic and orthopaedic support for several local high schools. For recreation Dr. Murphy enjoys travel, golf and snowboarding. His wife, Laura, is a pediatrician and they have three children.
