Dr. Windom is widely recognized as a leading gynecologic surgeon in the U.S. Dr. Windom has eleven years of private practice experience and as a partner at OB/GYN Associates in Marietta, GA. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as a member of the American Urogynecologic Society, Society of Laproendoscopic Surgeons, American Medical Association, and the Georgia OB/GYN Society. He as served as the Chairman of the Department of OB/GYN at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital (the second largest hospital in the State of Georgia) from 2001-2004. Dr. Windom is active in the medical community as a national public speaker, published author, local and national surgical preceptor, and consultant for numerous medical/surgical companies in helping with R&D and teaching. His medical interests are in minimally invasive laparoscopic gynecologic surgery, female pelvic floor reconstructive surgery, female urinary incontinence management and surgery, robotic pelvic surgery, and prenatal/surgical nutrition. Dr. Windom completed an internal medicine internship at UT-Memphis where he was awarded outstanding intern award, and then completed a four year OB/GYN residency at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Denver CO. He has a BS in biochemistry from the University of Georgia and a M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Windom and his wife Cheryl have 3 children.
