Dr. McLaren attended the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and continued her training in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center, completing her psychiatry residency at Baylor College of Medicine. Additionally, Dr. McLaren completed a fellowship in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at The Center for Psychoanalytic Studies. She is a board-certified psychiatrist.
Dr. McLaren spent nine years as an attending physician at the University of Washington in Seattle. Since returning to Texas in 2013, Dr. McLaren splits her time between her private practice and the University of Texas Counseling and Mental Health Center. She enjoys being outdoors and active with her family.
