He received his B.A. in Biology and Spanish from Johns Hopkins University after which he pursued his M.P.H at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He holds an M.D. from St. George’s University School of Medicine where he was awarded as a member of the Iota Epsilon Alpha Honor Society. He trained in Internal Medicine at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center of Columbia University in New York City.
His professional affiliations include the Infectious Disease Society of America, The American Medical Association, The American Public Health Association and the New Jersey Public Health Association. He has prior work experience in the fields of environmental and occupational health. He is passionate about global health issues and providing comprehensive care for patients with HIV and Hepatitis C. His outside interests include running, travel and foreign languages.
