Dr. Koutoulas was born and raised in the San Francisco bay area. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California in Los Angeles with a degree in Physiological Science and then received his O.D. degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Il.
During his clinical rotations he served as the eyecare provider to military veterans at the Daytona Beach Veterans Hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida. He also had clinical rotations at the Vision developemental center in San Diego, where he participated in the treatment of complex binocular vision disorders. As well, he completed a primary eyecare rotation at Lawndale Christian health center in Chicago, Illinois. His contact lens and cornea training was done in the cornea and contact lens section of the Illinois Eye Institute.
Dr. Koutoulas enjoys traveling, athletics and learning languages.

This was my second visit with Dr. Koutoulas and it was better than the first for sure! They updated their clinic, which I was very happy about. Dr. Koutoulas is very professional and very thorough in his examination. I like that he has a light touch (because I'm not really comfortable with other people touching my eyes) and that all of his equipment are very clean. He also gave me very simple and practical eye self care tips! I highly recommend him if you're looking for a good eye doctor.

An amazing Doctor! Very friendly yet professional. I had not been to an eye doctor in years due to unpleasant visits in the past. By choosing Dr. Koutoulas for my first visit in so long, I believe I've been given back some confidence in scheduling regular check ups.
