The wait only took place because the office is going paperless. Other than that everything was awesome. The staff was very friendly and helpful. At times they apologized to everyone for the wait. Dr. Gillian was very knowledgeable and reassuring about my upcoming procedure. He is quite the comedian but very professional at the same time.

Kris F. Gillian, M.D. is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas. He earned his BA from Emory University and was awarded an academic scholarship while graduating from the University of Arkansas with a degree in medicine. Dr. Gillian completed his medical internship at the University of Tennessee and his ophthalmology residency in Pittsburgh. During his residency, Dr. Gillian traveled to Samara, Russia to perform a surgical mission at the hospital of the late Dr. Svyatoslav Fyodorov, known as the "Father of Radial Keratotomy."
Dr. Gillian is a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been practicing in the Atlanta area since 2001. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology. Dr. Gillian had performed thousands various surgical procedures in his career. He specializes in premium implant cataract surgery, LASIK, diabetes and glaucoma treatment, macular degeneration management, eyelid surgery, pterygium removal , and cosmetic BOTOX treatment.
He lives in Atlanta with his wife and children and enjoys travel, scuba, golf, music, and personal fitness in his spare time.

The visit took a little longer than it should BUT part of the reason was that the office was training on new software. I very much appreciate that they are moving away from paper files and going digital! This was my first visit with Dr. Gillian, but not the first visit to this office. He was very nice and seems knowledgeable.

The visit with Dr. Gillian was great. He was very personable and, most importantly, very knowledgeable and desired to give a thorough understanding of my eye health. Although I did receive a confirmation that my forms filled out via Zocdoc were received, the lady at the front desk told me she didn't see the forms in my chart and that she was not the person responsible for pulling them, so she asked me to fill out the forms again. My visit otherwise was a very positive and efficient experience

I really liked my visit. Dr. Gillian had a great personality and his staff was very professional. I was in and out in less then 45mins and the whole overall visit was very pleasant.

I had to ask for pressure tests and if I needed a new prescription for my glasses. He seemed to want to rush through my exam this time. I did not feel like that the first time I saw him a year ago.

Dr. Gillian and his staff were very courteous. I had to get a chalazion "removed" from my eye. He talked me through the procedure and gave me all that I would need for follow-up care. Although the chalazion was minimized and not completely removed, he did advise that this tends to happen often and it would basically have to heal on its own. It is slowly but surely going away, and I felt he did his part in helping this process.
