About Dr. Krystyna Katz
Dr. Krystyna Katz was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. She completed her bachelor's degree in Psychology: Natural Sciences at Loyola University Chicago with a minor in Bioethics. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry, graduating as a member of the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society-the highest honor for leadership and service that a student of optometry may receive. Dr. Katz is also very active in serving the underprivileged. While in optometry school, she coordinated with St. Louis University Hospital to organize weekend events offering free eye exams to those in need. She also worked to raise money for Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH) and was fortunate to receive sponsorship to go on a SVOSH mission trip to Haiti to serve those in need. She looks forward to more optometric mission trips in the future and to continuing to serve her community.
Dr. Katz is a member of the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society, American Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association, and Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. She specializes in the treatment and management of Dry Eye Disease and is always excited to learn more about cutting-edge technology to better care for her patients. Her passion for dry eye management grew during a rotation near St. Louis, where she had the opportunity to manage severe cases and learn from a well-renowned dry eye practitioner in the area. She is motivated to continue helping patients find relief from their dry eye disease. She is caring, kind, patient, and always treats her patients as if they were her own family.
In her free time, Dr. Katz enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog!

Not being seen by the doctor I made appointment with. Salesman attitude to sell overpriced product. Total time at visit was about 5 minutes, other patients were booked at the same time and waiting. They do not have parking, had to park on the street and pay for Chicago parking meter

The front doors are Stoopid, especially for an eye doctor. I can't see how about marking the doors as not useful or even in use! And then locking the main door to keep out street people, how about having a BIG sign that says "ring bell'and then having some one answer it right away! I was late and rushed and couldn't see it took sometime to figure out! I'm getting old!

Dr. Katz was amazing! She has great bedside manner and is exceptional at patient education and talks yourthrough every finding -- whether normal or abnormal. She answered all of my questions and is easy to connect with. I highly recommend her. The office is clean and chic with great supply of lenses and other equipment. Front desk receptionist is very kind, helpful and knowledge. And Dillon is wonderful! He helped me find glasses that work well with my face shape and was a pleasure to work with. Overall a great experience - I highly recommend!

Dr. Katz was so sweet with my son. She is great with kids. My son's Rx was drastically increasing, so Dr. Katz recommended Misight Myopia Centrol to help slow progression. My son's Rx has now been stable for a whole year and he loves his contacts. So happy she made the recommendation and did his fitting.

I saw Dr. Katz for a series of IPL treatments to help my dry eye symptoms. She was wonderful in educating me on my condition and best treatment options. After years of seeking relief, I have finally found it. She has been wonderful in curating the best treatment plan for me!

Dr. Katz was able to squeeze me in for an emergency appointment. I slept in my contacts and she found a corneal ulcer!! She educated me that this is very serious and could lead to vision loss! My previous eye doctor told me it would be okay to sleep in my contacts!! I couldn't believe it! So glad I went in and my condition resolved

I saw Dr. Katz because I had some scary visual disturbances. I thought I was having a retinal detachment. After imaging and dilation, I was assured it was just an ocular migraine. If I notice any changes to these symptoms, I feel confident coming back here to ensure nothing bigger is happening

Dr. Katz caught a retinal hole that was very close to my central vision. She referred me to a retinal surgeon for treatment. The surgeon said if it weren't for this catch, I could have gone blind. Very thankful and will be going back

Dr. Katz helped to explain that my vision changes are due to cataracts. We are currently working on getting my dry eyes stable so that I will be in a better place to have cataract surgery. So happy to finally have answers and a plan! Loved Dr. Katz

From the moment you walk in until you leave, the customer experience is excellent. The person who greeted me and checked me in was pleasant and courteous. The person who did initial tests did a great job. Dr. Katz was outstanding, she was knowledgable, informative and patient . I left feeling very confident in my exam results. The woman I worked with to help me find frames was patient and very helpful at finding the right frame for me.
