Dr. Kym N. Loi is an acupuncturist at MemorialCare Medical Group Fountain Valley.
After obtaining her B.S. in Biology from UCI, Dr. Loi volunteered at the VA Hospital and Convalescent Home in Long Beach. She felt there was a missing link to the current medical system, while working as a chemist at Allergan Pharmaceutical Company, she began to search for this missing link. Her findings led her to pursue a career in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine to bridge the gap between Western and Eastern medicine.
Dr. Loi entered the field of medicine to educate her patients on the belief that “everyone is a healer”. She believes that healing is a natural force that patients have within themselves. Her favorite aspect of the provider-patient relationship is the trust gained from comfortable, honest and open communications.
In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, reading books, listening to music and spending time with her family and friends.

Dr. Loi helps me with my pains. She is professional and friendly. She gives me advices that help manage the pain. Elizabeth, the nurse is kind and friendly. She makes me feel comfortable and explains what is going on. The staff are outstanding and very helpful.
