I liked him when he was in pediatrics, and now she's grown and I use him myself.
Been probably 10 or 12 years now.

Lacy listens to your issues attentively without talking back. He has a warm reception and a friendly attitude. This is the second time that I have encountered a health professional with such a warm attitude. My family talked about his polite attitude, services, and friendly attitude. He probes diligently and works with patients beautifully. He listens and listen before taken decisions. I hope there is more health professionals like him in every clinic and hospital in Texas. My immigrant family appreciate your time and dedication to work with non-English speakers. God Bless You

Lacy Rainey,FNP is by far the best provider I have had as a patient at Communicare in San Marcos, TX. In the past 4 years. (I have seen 4 other providers at this facility who are no longer there...gor good reason). He is patient, talks to the patient, listens, and shows compassion. He examines me and doesn't just look at and hold his I-pad. He also has my medical conditions well controlled. Even if my insurance changes next year, I will certainly look for a plan he participates in.
His San Marcos staff from front desk, to assistant, and lab tech are friendly and very helpful.

Very happy with Dr.Raney. However when I arrived for my 10:50 a.m. appt, on time, I was the only patient in the waiting room. I was put into an exam room after a short wait...but the M.D. didn't come in until 11:47a.m. Dr. Raney asked helpful questions and adjusted my treatment plan. The most frustrating part of the exam was that I was there for fasting lab work...and by the time he finished his exam and the nurse came in...the lab tech had left for lunch until 1p.m. (An additional hour before I could eat.) Of course by the time I finished my lab draw I had a severe headache and had to wait awhile after eating before I felt stable enough to make my hour drive home to Dripping Springs, TX. Perhaps more than one employee could be trained to draw labs when this type of situation occurs. And certainly the staff could show some empathy. My nurse was great...but my experience in dealing with other staff is often frustrating and I am made to feel to be an annoyance because I prefer to speak to a person and not deal with a computer portal.

Very pleased with Lacy Rainey. He was warm and caring while skillfully assessing the medical component in a holistic way. He had clearly reviewed my chart before he walked in the door. I was heard and not rushed. His questions were thoughtful and perceptions helpful and insightful. Yes, there is at least one place in modern medicine where the Marcus Welby model still exists!
