Dr. Ladan Hamd is double Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry . She completed her Neuropsychiatry residency training at Texas Tech University and her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.
She has been awarded as one of the America's Top Psychiatrist and by Doctors of Excellence Leaders of Healthcare as well as recognized as a Pinnacle Professional member of Who's Who .
Dr, Hamd after completing her fellowship, remained as an assistant professor at the University of Connecticut Health Center and subsequently chose private practice while continued inpatients care in her affiliated psychiatric hospitals. She is humbled and honored to be able to provide care to who struggle with mental illnesses ,by rationale psychopharmacology with an integrated psychotherapeutic approach with acknowledging that every patient's story is unique and deserves to be empowered to find hope and experience joy.

Dr. Hamd is one of the best mental health professionals I have seen. She took the time to learn as much as she could about me, and because of that was able to give me the right diagnosis and treatment. She is kind, funny, and my appointments with her are always a joy. One of my favorite things about her is that she takes me incredibly seriously- and does not let me downplay or feel silly about anything bothering me. She's helped my improve my life and mental health more than I ever thought was possible, and I am incredibly thankful for her.

After a few good visits, it became apparent this practice is laughably backwards. Don't expect your messages or voicemails to be listened to, let alone your issues. As an adult, being berated by a clueless disorganized and despondent doctor is offensive. As a child, damaging. I wouldn't trust my children to see her, don't trust yours.

Doctor Hamd was wonderful. She clearly know the medicines available and was excellent in discussing the different options with me. She didn't at any point make me feel ashamed or embarassed, it seemed like she just wanted to help. I will definitely be going back.

Excellent doctor. I've never really been inspired to write reviews before, but I'm grateful and pleased to have the chance to do so for Dr. Hamdheydari. When the only psychiatrist I had seen retired a while back, I was okay with just seeing my primary when necessary...until anxiety resurfaced in my life.
I was reluctant to have to go about finding a new psychiatrist, but I'm so thankful to have found Dr. Hamd. I've seen her twice now, and I couldn't be happier. She has many great qualities: very knowledgeable, friendly and pleasant, professional, caring, and very helpful...also nice office, very easy parking, and easy to find. I would definitely recommend Dr. Hamd to anyone.

She examined me. Listened well in our initial interview and prescribed me meds. I'm doing better a week later and can't wait to talk with her again. Please don't think twice about using her to help you. Take it from a broken depressed, anxious, recoding addict who thinks no one can help me. I believe me meeting with her is helping me in my recovery and my help to fix my mental issues. Take it from a self described lost cause. See her.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hamd for over a year now. She is always very professional and accommodating. I arrived an hour early for a scheduled appointment today and instead of making me wait she was able to squeeze me in between other appointments which allowed me to get to work on time. The staff is friendly and the office is easy to access on the first floor of the building. There is always plenty of parking within steps of the main entrance.
