About Laura Grota
Laura Grota began her nursing career six years ago in medical and surgical critical care prior to obtaining her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from UT Health San Antonio School of Nursing, specializing in Family Practice. She completed her education at UT Health San Antonio after assessing the need for improved outpatient care. Laura pursued becoming a Nurse Practitioner in the hopes of making a positive impact on patients looking to improve their overall health and quality of life. Her approach to care is to always keep the patient’s wishes and safety at the forefront of collaborative decision making, believing that effective patient care is rooted in a multifactorial approach. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, taking long walks with her dog, Bear, working out, and reading.

I would go back. Laura was very personable and she seemed excited to start working with me to help resolve some of my health issues. She is willing to work with me and fill the shoes of my primary care doctor.
The only thing is that Zocdoc billed her as an infectious disease specialist, and that is not her. She was very helpful and worked with me trying to get me healthcare plan back on track. While I will go back to Laura and work with her, I am not sure if I will be using ZocDoc, again.

Laura Grota is hands down the best NP I’ve ever seen. She is very knowledgeable, personable and communicates/listens equally well. I highly recommend her for any reason, she’s really great. The office on Nacogdoches is very nice, very clean and the staff members are all friendly. My wait times have been short as well.
