A lot of people don’t know what a naturopathic doctor is or how we can help. I am a fully licensed family medical practitioner in the state of Arizona. Naturopaths have to attend a four-year accredited naturopathic medical school and have a licensing board. We take two sets of boards similar to allopathic medical doctors. In addition, we are licensed to practice acupuncture, botanical medicine, homeopathic medicine, chiropractic manipulation, nutrition and diet consulting, and we are also licensed to perform minor surgery. So besides learning everything an allopathic family practitioner learns, we also know all these alternative methods of healing. This style of medicine is more than holistic, it is integrative medicine treating the whole person. The main goal of a naturopathic doctor is to get to the “ROOT OF THE CAUSE.”
We ask, “Why are you sick, why are you unhappy, why are you so stressed out and not sleeping, and when did all this begin?” I cannot wait to meet you and listen to your needs and be your makeover wellness doctor!
Environmental Medicine
I am also trained in environmental medicine. What does this mean? I can assess one’s total “environmental load” with specialized testing. We offer specialized testing to assess one’s toxic burden. When there’s been an exposure to toxic molds, pesticides, herbicides, gasoline, solvents, styrofoam food packaging, heavy metals, etc., these exposures can create health issues such as brain fog, fatigue, rashes, tremors, hormone dysregulation, and depression. Detoxification and avoidance of these environmental toxins is key to regaining one’s health and wellness.
