About Lauren Hammer
Lauren Hammer is a licensed and certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner who has enjoyed a diverse career providing care and education for women of all ages and stages of life. She is also certified in inpatient obstetrics and has assisted and empowered women during labor and birth for over 29 years. During this time, she has been a recipient of the Clinical Excellence Award, Divisional Nurse of the Year, and Patient Satisfaction Recognition Award. She has taught childbirth education courses, is a member of the Normal Labor Task Force, and has a special interest in reducing the cesarean rate for first-time mothers-to-be. Lauren has been a member of the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses for most of her career.
Lauren obtained her Bachelor's and Master's in Nursing from the University of South Florida and received a Master's in Women's Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama. She has enjoyed teaching nursing, both in academia and inpatient obstetric nursing. Lauren is passionate about education and embraces teaching moments prenatally, encouraging mothers to educate themselves to positively affect their pregnancy and the future health of their newborns and families. She also enjoys providing evidence-based gynecological care, meeting the unique needs of women throughout their lifespan, from well-woman care to hormone replacement therapy and screening for gynecological-associated hereditary cancers.
When Lauren is not caring for her patients, she can be found enjoying the company of her husband and adventurous two sons boating, water skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, mountain biking, and any other outdoor activity her boys convince her to try!

Not my favorite type of appointment, but Dr Hammer made me feel so comfortable and it was a really thorough and quick exam! She answered all of my questions and gave me information to research on my own to help make decisions. Dr Hammer will be who I see every appointment. I met Jenn and Allison in the mammogram room and they also made me feel comfortable and kept the mood light while doing my exam! Thank you ladies!!

Dr Lauren Hammer is the best! I don’t think I can ever say I have enjoyed a trip to the doctor, especially a lady doctor! Lauren is wonderful, takes time, gets to know you, you never feel rushed, she’s amazing! Truly the best! I drive much further than any close docs just because she is so great! I had my annual appointment with Lauren yesterday! Right from the moment she walked into the room, I felt like we were old friends. She was friendly, kind, extremely knowledgeable. Going to the GYN is not always a fun experience but Lauren puts you at ease. Love love love that they offer 3D mammograms right in the office AND have their own labs. 1 stop shop!

Every single person o spoke to was not only pleasant but good at their job. This includes the front desk, nurse, dr. Hammer, and the woman who took my blood. I was so nervous but they all put me right at ease! This office is an hour drive from my home but I will come to this office every time in the future! The drive is worth the service I received! I wish I would've met Lauren 4 yrs ago when I moved to Fl. I saw other providers here that were terrible and almost gave up hope that there were any gentle, friendly one's in my area, until I met her. She is by far one of the best. I dread that yearly exam and just want to say that she was the most gentle, understanding person and I would refer all my family/ friends too!

This is the only doctor’s office I have ever been to where I enjoy going because everyone is so friendly! It amazes me that they always have a smile, no matter who it is! Lauren Hammer is so kind and takes time to get to know you personally as well. She is genuine and so friendly! I won’t ever switch to another office or doctor because they are PERFECT!!! This is an incredible groups of physicians, PAs, NPs, and nurses. They provide patient-centered, quality care. Most recently I saw Lauren Hammer and she was incredible! She took the time to get to know me and personally called me to give me lab results. It really meant a lot to me!
